i highlited and colored my hair with both of my kids and they turned out fine! even in the *gasp* 1st trimester!
I have 3 children ages 13, 5, and 4. I have colored my hair for about 2 years now. I am 4 months pregnant now and still have gray hair. Does anyone know if I am still able to color my hair without hurting the baby?

Talk to your doctor first, but I go to a place called Natural Retreat it is at 290 and Cypress Rosehill. All of their products are natural no chemicals. I hope this helps!
My Ob said it was ok but since our hormones are changing due to the pregnancy your hair might not "grab" the color. So you MIGHT end up with patches of diffrent color.
I would vote NO on the coloring of your hair while pregnant. I would also contact your doctor and ask him for sure. When 2 of my 4 children were little and I ws pregnant for the 3rd, a neighbor's kids had lice and even though my kids did not play or even go by them I still got upset and washed their hair and mine and cleaned my whole house twice as I was afraid of getting lice. Bottom line my doctor blew up as anything you put on your skin or head goes into your blood stream. So while you are pregnant just grin and bear it. You are still a beautiful person inside and out and being pregnant I bet you even glow more. I know I did.
Good luck but again I vote no on the coloring.

Hi, my mother is a hair stylest. When I was pregnant she always used lighter chemicals on me and my children are just fine. Its up to you and how you feel with coloring your hair.
No, I would suggest you not color your hair while you are pregnant due to the fumes from the hair dye. However if you are going to do it there are some hair dye's that are amonia free.
I colored my hair through both of my pregnacies. My doctor told me it was ok.
