I'd hire a male stripper and get some wine... now that will be a baby shower No ONE will forget!! LOL
Hi Moms,
I am throwing my sister-in-laws baby shower and am trying to think of a fun activity to include. I would like to steer clear of the normal games and have a fun activity. I have attended fun showers with a mobile spa service and a pottery making lesson so I am looking for something similar with someone coming to the house to help with the activity. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks!

buy some solid colored onesies and fabric paint. Let people's creative minds wander while they decorate a onesie. Perhaps have suggestions as to sayings to write or something to draw such as :
Daddy did my Hair
Mommy's little monster
2am Party in my Crib

I have a wonderful baby shower game that everyone will enjoy. I just hosted a baby shower and we did this and everyone loved it. I didn't want a typical "don't say baby" game, and this was perfect - it's a candy bar game. You buy a bunch of candy bars (at least 20) and give hints and whomever guesses gets to keep the cady bar. Examples:
1) You would give the hint "triplets," and the aswer is Three Muskateers.
2) You would give the hint "preemie," and the answer could be either peanut m&m's or junior mints
3) You would give the hint "boys name," and the answer could be Oh Henry or Heath
4) You would give the hint "lullaby," and the answer is Symphony
5) You would give the hint, "expensive hospital bill," and the answer is 100 Grand and so on and so fourth - if you are interested in this google "candy bar baby shower game" and you should probaby find it. It's really fun! It was hard, so I was giving more hints, like telling them what letter it started with. Have fun!
Everyone can bring their favorite childhood book to "build" a library for the new baby. They can dedicate the book to the child instead of a card.
this doesn't answer your question specifically (sorry) but when i was researching ideas for my sisters baby shower i came across the theme "diapers and daquiris" - they made alcoholic & non alcoholic daquiris... i thought that was neat. if i wasn't having hers at a restaurant i would have done that. i think the mobile spa ida is EXCELLENT. every single woman including your sis in law would love that i guarantee it.
I knew a lady from work who had everyone bring a piece of unique fabric to the shower and they made a quilt right there for the baby that was one of a kind. A lady with one of those really expensive sewing machines came and made things for the baby with monogramming (sp) and it was different from any shower I have ever heard of.
About a month ago I co-hosted a baby shower. We did a version of mad libs where we filled in the blanks with things the guest of honor said when she opened her gifts - it was hilarious!
We had a "dream tree" at mine. They got curly willow branches , put them in a vase, and hung leaves cut from paper on it. People would write what they hope, dream, or prayer for the child. At the end, they gave them to me in a box and gave me the branches and vase. I still read them time from time, 19 months later :)
what about an arbonne party along side it ... they have a great baby collection they can introduce the mom and other guests to and a good strong make up and skin care line as well.
I was going to suggest the book thing too instead of cards. Did that a few times and it really is special. :)
