When I hosted a bridal shower, I gave away Bath and Body Works products as prizes. Many of their signature collection gift sets are packaged beautifully.
I am hosting a baby shower in a couple of weeks. We are doing a drawing and everyone that brings a pack of diapers will be entered to win. Now, we need a prize. I want something more than a gift card. There are 3 of us hosting so the price can range 30-40 dollars. Any ideas? We were thinking some spring decorations or outdoor decor. But everyone likes different things, so Im just not sure. My other thought was a fruit arrangement from edible arrangements. Im open to any ideas. Thanks moms!

With summer just around the corner, maybe you could focus your gifts on that. Like a nice beach towel just for mom (am I the only one who never seems to get a new one?:) and some sunscreen, like neutrogena or similar..again, not the kids kind. You could include a great refillable water bottle or cute flip flops. Hmm..can you tell I am so ready for summer. But it might be a nice way to spoil mom a little this summer with things that she might not typically by for herself. Have fun!! ~A.~
Most of the time when this happens the gift goes to the new mom. A basket of chocolate, candles and other goodies is always a hit and if there are three people hosting then it is easy to divide up and each hostess bring a few things to put in the basket.
I have to agree with Tina....the gifts should go to the new mommy! I had this happen for me and it was a TOTAL surprise! We were playing games and each winner of the games would get a gift bag that had goodies in it. No one opened the gifts at the time so I was clueless as to what was in there and at the end of playing the games everyone walked over to me and handed me the gift bags!! It ranged from items for the baby (diaper cream, pacis, bottles, baby lotion, etc.) to items for me (lotions, candles, etc.). It was such a nice surprise and everyone had me fulled! So if you can get the guests to keep a secret, I think it's a great idea and lots of fun for the new mommy!
