I was on Effexor for a while and decided to get off of it (was going to start trying for baby #2 and wanted to be drug free). If you are going to switch drugs you need to talk to your physician about it DO NOT do it cold turkey. It is a nasty, nasty drug! I wish I had done research before taking it because I had horrible withdrawal symptoms. My doctor slowly weaned me off but it still took months to get out of my system. One of the withdrawal symptoms that I had (that is not normally spoken about) is brain tremors, they were like sharp zaps in my head. It was very scary and freaked me out a bit. You can read more about it here:

or you can also just google Effexor and brain tremors. The best advise I can give is be sure to get off with your doctors help, wean yourself off slowly, and be ready for a long withdrawal process. Good luck!

My husband was on anti depressants for 10 years and switch to Luminex 5 years ago when we began shopping with Mela. He alternated every other day for 2 weeks and took their Vitality pack to go with the Luminex. He has no drug side effects and has never felt better. He says it was the best decision he ever made.

What does your doctor say? Probably that you are crazy (no pun intended)

There is no "Natural cure" for the drugs regardless of the marketing. Notice they make ZERO concrete claims. Better than, more than, percentage, and 3 of 4 doctors agree are all non quantifiable and thus bogus.

R.,
Please follow your doctor's advice on getting off of it. This nothing to fool around with.
Natural remedies are great for mild depression, but severe depression requires medication and close supervision by your physician.
Please contact me if you want more info on natural solutions. Make sure the product you chose has scientific research, not just testimonies, to back up it's claims.
Good luck and take care.
