I know you have already received some great guidance, but wanted to put my two cents in! I have a 2 year old and gained 15 pounds since I gave birth to her, in addition to the extra baby weight. My husband and I have been doing Weight Watchers online for the last two months. Without exercising (not what I recommend, but its just where my life is right now), I have lost 15 pounds in 2.5 months.
