I am looking for recommendations from other moms on jogging stollers! There are so many out there and they can be really spendy! I need one for light jogging and for walking on grass/gravel. I heard the BOB is good, but I don't like how far back the child sits in the seat..but it still is an option if other people say it is a great stoller. Thanks!
Are you planning on having a 2nd child? If so, Phil & Ted offeres a single stroller that can covert to a double by adding a 2nd seat. Otherwise BOB makes a jogger many people love.
We LOVE our BOB--I highly recommend it!!
We LOVE our BOB Revolution - with a front wheel that swivels or can be locked for jogging. The swivel feature is a dream when we walk to the grocery store or navigate through busy areas. We've used ours all over the country on dirt trails, up uneven mountain paths, through snow, and all over the city. The only downside is the basket underneath which is hard to access. Our smallish diaper bag doesn't fit so we end up unpacking and shoving individual things in one at a time. It's hard to find a jogger where the child sits more upright. I was told by a retailer that this is a safety feature when it's being used for jogging. Baby Grand in St Paul carries BOB strollers and accessories.
We have a Kelty. It was expensive but it has never failed us. It has been all over the country with us on a variety of trails as we are avid hikers. I am pretty sure you can find it at REI or other outdoor stores. Good luck!
We've done a lot of research on jogging strollers and just ordered a BOB Sport Utility from REI. If you're a member of REI you can get 20% off one regular priced item through March 30th. They sell a few different BOB and Baby Jogger brand strollers.
I checked out Consumerreports.org when purchasing my stroller. We went with the CR Best Buy which was the one of the Jeep jogger models. I do really like it however, the one feature i wished I would have gotten is the front wheel that you can either lock or unlock. Mine stays locked which is great for jogging, but not so great for taking the stroller other places. Hand breaks and the rain cover are my two favorite features. Good luck!
