We bought a B.O.B. and love it! Expensive, but we've got twin girls and it was definitely worth it so we could get out on the trails.
I'm looking for any recommendations on a good jogger or all-terrain stroller. Not necessarily for jogging, but we like to go hiking and walking on trails and would like a stroller that can easily go with us, while being comfortable for our little girl.

We bought a BOB Revolution. Love it. Bit expensive but we got a great deal at REI. Only thing is that when our daughter was smaller, it seemed like she was all bunched up in it. I think the seat sinks down a bit more than we'd like, but it really hasn't been as much of an issue now that she's bigger. I know they now offer a car seat adapter that fits in the BOB too.
We have the Jeep Liberty Sport Urban Terrain 3 Wheel Stroller. We love it. We have had it since James was born and it has worked great. We do a lot of all-terrain activities and have no trouble. You can lock the front wheel for on rough ground or unlock it so it can swivel for smoother terrain. It almost fully reclines and has a very substantial sun shade with a window so you can keep on eye on your little one. There is an activity on the tray that is removable. We purchased ours at Babies R Us when they had the coupons and it was very reasonable, I believe it was a bit less than $100.
A little bonus is that it has speakers so you can hook your MP3 or CD player to it and listen to music as you go.
Happy shopping!
We really like our BOB. You can find deals at REI on them.
We LOVE our Chariot Cougar double stroller. If you are thinking about more kids, just buy the a double from the beginning. This stroller can change the front attachment from pivoting "walking/strolling" wheels (I still use for jogging and rollerblading), to a fixed front wheel for jogging, to a bike attachment for pulling. It even has ski attachments for cross country if you want. All sold separately, of course. I LOVE that you can purchase a baby "sling" so you can put your child in there from the time they are born, be cradled, and happy.
One warning, no matter what stroller you get (this one even has a shock system) off road is a bumpy ride for the child. I'd recommend a Kelty back pack for anything rougher. I love mine and got it used. Good luck!

I have a double instep stroller. I used to have a single but it had a fixed wheel and I hated that. This double one has a swivel front wheel. I call it the hummer. It can go through all sorts of terrain without any problems. I live on a steep hill and our driveway is gravel. No other stroller could ever make it up and down that! I got mine on amazon last february (08) for about $150. It had free shipping. My kids both really like it. My baby was only 3 months when I got it, and my older son was 3. The only problem with it is the sunshade is inadequate but you can easily buy things to help with that so that is an easy, cheap solution. Its has been worth the money for sure. I have never spent that much on ANY baby item (I know, most people wouldn't think $150 is that much but it was for me). I have been so happy with it. I can't say enough good about it. I did a ton of research before buying it. Oh, the other thing that sucks is the lack of room for you to put a drink, etc. Again, you can buy things to help with that. It just has a little soft compartment which works for other things but not my water bottle, etc.
We found the Instep brand to be great. I have a single and a double. Both have held up for the past 4 years. We have been harder on the double and put it to the test. It has passed with flying colors. Look for cup holders on the top and pockets on the sides. They all help. Though it has been awhile, we ordered ours from babybungalow.com
They had the best price and free shipping. I know at least 5 other people who ordered from there too within the last 4 years. Good luck! I love mine and would not buy another regular stroller.
I have a baby trend all-terrain jogging stroller and I wish I would have bought the jeep. The stroller that I have the front wheel makes the whole stroller wobble when you just start walking a little fast I could never jog with it like I intended to. they have a locking trigger but it is a pain to use and you can not turn after locked into place. Very fustrating. I have also talked to others with the same stroller and they have the same problem. Hope this helps.

i will second the B.O.B. suggestion! i'm a new mom and obsessed with our stroller we decided on! a few girlfriends of mine really love theirs too. we decided on it after doing lots of research with the "baby bargains" book! we used our 20% member coupon to buy it at REI and it was worth every penny. we got the "revolution" which has the swivel front wheel. the wheels are so great it makes the stroller so light, it practically pushes itself! its the SUV of strollers...litterally goes everywhere. i don't even own a smaller or different stroller for the mall cuz wherever i'd go i'd be sure to have it in my trunk! it'll be PERFECT for how you wanna use it! check out thier website! good luck!
We have a Jeep and I LOVE it! It also has an MP3/ CD feature to plug your tunes into while you are out walking! Very easy to maneuver and fold/ unfold as well!
I'm an avid runner and have been doing a great deal of research into the "jogging stroller" lately, particularly the double jogger (since I'm preggers with my second right now). I currently have a Tike Tech single jogger and have been very happy with it, but it's super bulky and not the cheapest thing out there. After doing more research this time around, I really feel like the best brand for your money seems to be InSTEP. They have joggers with swivel and locked front wheels (not sure which is better for off-roading, but swivel's better for walking and fixed is better for running). They have doubles and singles. You can spend a lot more money for much nicer strollers, such as BOB, but unless you're planning on doing a lot of long runs in it, you're better off spending less and getting a decent all terrain stroller, such as the InSTEP brand. I've found a lot of success searching through the reviews on Amazon, Target, and Walmart websites. Good luck and have fun!

We went to Baby on Grand when we went stroller shopping last year. We tried out all different strollers (Baby Jogger City Series, BOB, Bugaboo, etc.) The one we ended up with was the Bumbleride Indie. It's the lightest stroller in it's class - a three-wheeled all-terrain/jogger. The fold is somewhat involved, but once you have it down, it's easy. Unlike other strollers like it, it folds up rather compactly. It is incredibly comfortable for our daughter, now 18 months, who was 6 months at the time. The footrest is adjustable, unlike that of the BOB. The canopy doesn't do what the BOB does, but it doesn't bother us (or her).
Whatever stroller you decide upon, I would highly recommend stopping in at Baby on Grand (in St. Paul). The staff is extremely knowledgeable and will spend a lot of time with you showing you all the strollers. I went in twice and spent about 2 hours looking at strollers (and test driving and folding, etc.) They will even let you take the stroller outside to see how it does on the city sidewalk.
One thing I always remind my husband about when he balks at the price tag of strollers - the nicer strollers have a high resale value. So if you're going to spend $400 on a new stroller, you will probably recoup about half of that when you sell it. In that vein, I've noticed that BOBs are in high demand on Craigslist.

I have done a lot of research and compared and I found Bob Stroller to be the best. They are the only ones that have a canopy that flips either direction so you can shield your child from sun from the top or front. (You don't have to un-attach anything, just gently push it where you want it- it is super easy.) I used it a lot to shield my baby from the wind, which is sometimes heading right towards the babies face and is worse that the sun! I have one single Bob Stroller that I am going to sell since I have two babies on the way- I need a double! Also, be careful of Baby Jogger and a few other brands as though they perform well, they can tip over when the child is in them - this has happened in front of me to several people- it has to do with the weight distribution. The Bob brand cannot tip over because it is weighted correctly. Good Luck!
