Hi,

I have been on weight watchers with success and lost weight, but my points have stopped at 26. I thought they were suppose to be lowered as I continue to lose weight. My weight loss has decreased weekly as well.
I asked the leader and she said not to worry. Anyone else doing weight watchers and not having point amount changed?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for input. So that is the lowest points and I am happy to hear that because that isn't a lot to begin with.

With the 360 program that WW uses now, 26 is the lowest your points will drop no matter what your weight gets too. They changed it when they went to the Points Plus way of figuring out foods' points. They don't want you to drop below the 29 because then it is harder to get in nutritional values that you need to be healthy (the dairy and protein especially). If you are having trouble losing when you are at 26 points you could try not using the extra 49 points each week, earn more activity points, or try the Simply Feeling plan. Look at your welcome pack or talk to your leader for more info.

I did WW last year but regained most of what I lost :( and was also 26pts. I don't think you get more points until you reach at least 10% weight loss, or maybe even goal/maintenance.

As long as you are lossing weight stick to the 26 points. If you aren't getting enough food your body goes into stravation mode and hangs onto anything and everything you eat. You are better off getting a variety of fruits and vegetables and healty foods. Remember, it is a lifestyle change not a diet. Take care.

Yes...it is calculated based on height and weight. Most likely you are at a threshold that is not healthy to go under for your current body weight. Your body needs enough energy to function. Similar to how you shouldn't go under 1200 calories. If you are still losing weight, it sounds like you have not hit a plateau so I wouldn't worry. Remember that the amount you lose each week will decrease as you approach your target. This is why it is so hard to lose the last 5-10 pounds...takes time and we dont see the fast weight losses. Congratulations on your weight loss. :-) keep up the great work!

Weight loss does tend to slow down some the more weight you lose. If you find yourself at a real plateau try shaking things up a bit. For example, change the make up of your meals. If you always have the same thing for breakfast, try something different. Maybe add more protein to your meals. As long as you are still losing weight and feeling healthier, then you are succeeding. Try not to focus so much on how much you lose each week. Good luck!
