I LOVE weight watchers. I have lost 20 pounds in 2.5 months. Some of my favorite treats are:

Bagel Alternatives - 1 point
Pita Alternatives - 1 point
Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches - 2 points
Eating Right Frozen Meals - 5-7 points
Chakka's MMM Sauce (Costco) for marinating meat and veggies - 8 calories per 2 TBSP.
Roasted Chicken
Grilled Corn
Grilled Veggies

I could go on and on. I have a list I can email you. Send me an email to ____@____.com and I will pass along this list. It was a great way to get started!!!

Good luck.

I did WW 7 yrs ago. I lost 25lbs in 12 weeks. I loved it! It took a lot of determination on my part. I got pregnant at the 25lbs point and haven't gone back, but I need to. It really is a great program.

My mom did the "Points" system with WW. She lost nearly 75lbs in the 12-18 months she was on it. She went from a size 22-24 to a size 10-12. Unfortunately, she stopped following the "Life Style" choices that resulted in so much weight loss and has gained all (if not more) back. If you are ready to live THE REST OF YOUR LIFE always being aware of intake portions, then WW is a GREAT choice. It also really helps to have the entire house hold is supportive and participates in the healthy life choices.

I went to one meeting with my mom and the one thing that I do remember them saying is something close to what follows: "Every bite counts, but if you want to reward yourself by not counting the points for chooseing fresh carrots or sugar snap peas instead of chips, then go ahead! No one EVER got fat from eatting to many FRESH, UNCOOKED fruits and vegatables. This is the one part that I have taken to heart, and now RARELY buy chips anymore. I even feel more satisfied eating a handful of Sugar Snaps with my sandwich than I do when I eat a "single portion" bag of chips. However, if you only like them with ranch dip, you've GOT to count that.

Hope it helps, ~J.

I joined Weight Watchers in 2003. I liked it and the 1.2.3 Success Points was really easy to do when counting calories. I was a bit thinner then and didn't have children yet so it was difficult for me to really lose what I wanted to. I realized more about my body and after speaking with the counselors there I figured I was at a normal weight for my size and age at the time and that was why it was difficult to drop more. At the time I only lost a total of 6lbs. I have all the info. and can easily go back on it. I'm sure I can meet my weight goals now since I've gained after having my first child. It does work and going to the meetings is very important. You really learn a lot about health and your own body. Always drink lots of water and they tell you to get in about 20min of exercise every day. You don't need to sweat just get your heart rate up. I would highly suggest that you try it out. They have special deals going on all the time so the cost may surprise you. Good luck!

I love weight watchers. You eat whatever you want. The biggest thing they teach you is, what a portion is and whether that portion of food is something that is healthy for you to be eating. I loved that there were no food restrictions and you don't have to buy any of their food. It is a wonderful plan and I have successfully lost 40 pounds on it.

I was using weightwatchers when I got pregnant with my new little one. After I have her, I will be using it again.

I loved their program. I did the online one, because I really didnt want to go to meetings and it was cheaper. At the same time I was doing Karate about 3-4 times a week.

I lost nearly 23 pounds in the 2 months that I was doing it. I loved the program! I ate all sorts of foods. They gave me points that were separate weekly points that I could use as well, and I used those for a coldstone when I got the craving. So I didn't have to give up all the stuff completely. Just limit it to once every couple of weeks.

If my friends were going to McD's I could grab something (it would use most of my points, but I could without feeling guilty, like I was breaking my diet.

They did focus a lot on vegies, and drinking water. I know I ate a lot of vegie subway sandwiches which is good because i love them anyway!

I did weight watchers I realy loved it. I tried alot of things to try to lose weight. weight watchers was the only thing that worked. You don't go hungry. They teach you to eat right. You can eat out and at holidays and not feel cheated. I stopped because of my husbund. But I want to go back but I haven't cause I've been so Busy. You realy should try it. I think you'll like it.

Weight Watchers is awesome! i have been doing it for about 7 wks and have lost 17 pounds. i am totally not a dieter. the first week was a bit difficult because i felt like i was hungry because of the portion control, but after that it's not bad at all. i eat the lean cuisine paninis for lunch (they have the points on them so you don't have to figure them up). i eat for breakfast 2 pieces of orowheat (i think it is) LIGHT and dannon's light and fit yogurts. these are a total of 2 points. once you figure out the program and what things you can eat it's not too bad. if i need to have a cheeseburger or pizza, i use my "extra" points and do just that. i never feel like i'm being deprived.....Give it a shot!

Hi L.,

After my mom had great success and reccommended it, I joined weight watchers after my second baby. HAd great results, lost 25lbs, and dropped 2 dress sizes. I am wearing things I haven't worn since my honeymoon!!
The great thing is, is that it is not a 'fad' diet. It teaches you how to work with real food, make good food choices every day, to be accountable for what you eat, and, for me, the biggest thing was taking control of how I look.
I currently live in Chicago, but am moving to Big Bear Lake in 2 weeks. If you are in the area, maybe we could help eachother out????
All the best

To lose and maintain a healthy weight one must be prepared to watch what one eats, if they expect any sort of success for the rest of their lives!!
WW is a great program!!! My husband and I started it after I had my last child. Of course he lost more weight then I did in a month, but he gave up because he didn't like being told what he could eat! :) I loved it and even though I'm pregnant I still follow it to some degree. I get the Smart One froze meals which are great since I'm pregnant and breastfeeding and I eat two lunches, a dinner and then an evening snack. I need help to make sure I don't gain too much weight. I also, as does my son LOVE the skinny cow ice cream sandwhichs!!! They are great! Weight Watchers is a great program and if you join the monthly program they charge you a flat rate of $30 a month and you can attend meetings as well as participate online. In my opinion you need the personal meetings, you get great ideas from other people plus it gets you out of the house!

Weight Watchers ROCKS!!! What other plan is there that allows you to eat EVERYTHING? NONE!!! I lost 28 lbs on it.. Great support system. It's just a matter of having the self discipline to keep track of what your eating and measure your portion sizes to the letter. Good Luck.

Well you can see from the other responses that it's a good program. But I don't recommend it for the simple fact that once you join, your entire world revolves around "how much you are eating at every moment of every day". Which of course is common with dieting, but when you have to write down every morsel, and count every point.... it can make your every waking hour thinking about food. If you need structure and motivation then it's great. It's not pricey, but it's still taking money out of your budget when you could do it all on your own for Free! I'd recommend buying a book on nutrition and healthy food options! Good luck ~ YOU CAN DO IT!

Hi L.,

I'm a believer in Weight Watchers. Fortunately I really like most vegetables and the point system is easy for me. Weight Watchers is good at providing simple ideas for quick meals with thier program materials and in cookbooks that are enjoyable for you and your family. Currently I'm also using a Nutritional program to make sure I get all the nutritional support my body needs. It seems to be a great balance and has helped me with stubborn weight loss and cravings. Let me know if you are interested in more infomration. Take care, T. ###-###-####

Hi L.,
I have tried Weight Watchers a couple of times. I think it's really good short term; it lets you eat when you get hungry with vegetables that don't have any points. You can eat most anything, but each food is assigned so many points and to lose weight you want to keep within the points assigned. Long term it was hard for me to stay on because I grew tired of couonting points and eating out is a little bit tricky as you don't have as much control over what you eat and the portion size as at home. Good luck! J.

By time I finally got motivated to do it, I found out I was pregnant with number two so I didn't get to. YET. I have several friends who have done it and all have lost a significant amount of weight! It is inexpensive and you have support. I recommend it to anyone! A misconception is that you starve. There is actually a lot you can eat, it is just a matter of eating less more often I think. Try it!

My husband and I did WW several years ago and were very succesfull. Of course since having a baby, I need to go back. Anyway, we pretty much ate whatever we wanted. The most important thing is portion size. We had a lot of veggies, but ate hamburgers, fish, pork, chicken, baked fries, etc. Good Luck.

I swear by weight watchers. Actually my whole family does. I have lost 50lbs in the past, my mom 40, and my grandmother 80.

The great thing with Weight watchers is you eat any and everything. Every food has a value of points calculated by using the calories, fat and fiber. They have points for everything even if you want to go to a restaurant...they have all the main restaurants listed with their popular food items and their point values. You even have cheat points for those weak moments. Weight watchers is a great way to loose weight and change your lifestyle so you dont put it all back on. The average weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week..I tend to loose 3-5 but eveyone is differnet depending on your starting weight and the amount of exercise you put into it.

The best way to know is go try it out for yourself. First meetings are always free.

p.s. if couting points ins't for you they also have a program called "core" and you have a LARGE list of fruits, veggies, meats, carbs, etc. that you can eat as much as much as you want within normal serving size ranges without having to ever worry.

After I have this baby I will be going right back on WW again. I lvoe my weight watchers. I did every other diet out there, and I mena EVERY other diet and this is the only one that worked, and wasnt a big deal to do. Good luck.

I think weight Watcher is great. You eat normal foods in moderation. It's is a good example for kids since they encourage you to eat lots of fruits and mostly veggies. I liked that I felt in control of my diet since you keep track of what you're eating and you decide what to eat. Plus the accountabilty part (which they keep private) really helps too.

Good luck whatever route you choose.
