Hi moms,
my kids' pediatrician is one of the kind. there is a front desk staff lady too who goes beyond what the job asks for. I will get separate gifts for them, but wanted to get something for the entire staff, like edible arrangement. if i do that, do i bring plates and forks too? what time of the day should i bring the arrangement to the office etc. whatever you can suggest would be great. thank you
L.

What can I do next?

As I have worked in Dr's. office and clinics in the past, this time of year, they are often inundated with edible gifts and overwhelmed with what to do with so many, especially perishables. I have seen many go to waste because they spoil before they are used up. Not only from the patient's, but also vendors contribute, drug companies, other offices. They are appreciated, but also many of the staff really struggle to "say no" to all the temptations of goodies, when they really would not like to consume so many sweets, etc. "willpower, lack thereof"
You might want to contact the office to see if there is a better time for a delivery or preference.

I would do it just before lunch hour and the edible arrangements are kind of like kebobs ... the fruit is on a stick and they are easy to pull out of the base and eat! May I suggest the one where some are dipped in chocolate? It's quite a hit around here!

Do they even have a place to store the food? Or refrigerate it? Or what not. And away from the germs floating around etc.

During lunch, staff often like to leave... the office. To get out and get some
fresh air. Not staying in the office to eat.
At least, that is what I have seen with our Doc's offices.

Sure, plates & forks would be nice. I would say take it right near the end of lunch hour.

a very thoughtful idea, but Marilyn S. nailed it.....medical offices are swamped w/ free food this time of year. + all of the vendors are treating them to special luncheons out.....so just showing up with a treat for the office may backfire- timingwise.

I think the edible arrangement alone would suffice. Most offices have their break room with plates and supplies.

I would take it in right after lunch so they have it to snack on during the afternoon.
