My husband and I had a little slip up a week and a half ago and I am afraid that I might have gotten pregnant. What is the earliest I can take a pregnancy test? I guess I waited until I missed a period before,but if I am pregnant, it will definitely change what decisions we make for our future. In a good way:)
I have found that the tests from the Dollar Tree (cheapest ones-go figure) work the earliest! Even earlier than First Response. Not sure exactly how many days after conception, but definitely before you are supposed to have a period. Good luck :)
For over the counter tests you have to wait until you're near your period. I think the soonest OTC test is 5 days before your expected period. If you're worried and need to know sooner, call your OB/GYN. They can do a blood test to check hormone levels. That way you can know for sure and avoid all the anxiety about the unknown. I've been there and I know how nerve-wracking the waiting can be!
I just found out i was preggers 10 days past conception!!! First Response (pink box) is a great brand! remember, though, that you might have not conceived right away, since the swimmers can live several days, and you COULD have ovulated late.... good luck!
I waited 2 weeks after conception and it showed up clear. I also used 1st response pregancy tests.
