How Do You Promote Your Online Business

I have an online business that I work for at home. It is an absolutely amazing thing and I want to share it and drive people to my website but I don't know how. I have posted it on Twitter, Facebook, Linked In, Manta and several other websites. Is there any specific way without spending money to help drive people to the website?

Thanks.

What can I do next?

hmmm I was gonna suggest Twitter & Facebook, and then was gonna suggest something that cost $$... haha

Could you tell us what type of business it is?

My suggestion was to promotions on FB & Twitter saying that when you reach X likes (or X followers on Twitter) then you will hold a drawing for some sort of prize... people love free stuff! :)

It could be an Amazon gift card, or another type of gift card. Or if your business sells a product or service, you could offer a free product or free or discount service, etc.

You could also start a useful blog using one of the many free blog host sites. Write about benefits of your product/business success stories, repost infomration that is useful and fits with your business. and link blog to your website.
Also, if you have visuals, start Pinning them and get some track back action.
Also - be sure to do FREE google analytics on your webpage so you can track your traffic and see how you are doing in terms of driving traffic.
If you could spare an extra $50 a month, I'd also lookinto a very targeted google adwords campaign if all the free stuff is not working.
good luck!

Where do you show up if someone googles or bings your service or product? You can go into 'google adwords' and make sure the correct words are on your website. For instance, I am a minister and perform weddings and do spiritual counseling. So I make sure the words 'wedding' and 'counseling' are mentioned in my discriptions on my website.

Also the more often your site is clicked on the faster it moves to the top in search engines. Look up Search Engine Optisation (spelling??) or SEO on line and see what suggestions they offer.

At Halloween, pass out a treat for the adults with your business card attached and perhaps a coupon with it; ie 20% off your first order.

When you go to eat at a restaurant, give the waiter a business card with their tip. Or a sample of your product (ie a lipstick sample if you sold Mary Kay).

Not that I think it's the best way, but at the playground, there are picnic tables for the adults to sit at and chat while the kids play. I've seen Avon booklets there which was nice to flip thru while I was alone at the table while my kiddo played.

Around here, there are bulletin boards in front of the local general stores and at the post office. People post pictures of things they are selling (a tractor, kittens) and people post business cards for their business.

What's your business? We will have a better way to help ya if you give us more info.

If you like to network with people live, check out meetup.com and attend business networking meetings. Be sure to have business cards, literature, etc. Good luck!
