I agree with the baking soda and vinegar idea that Sue mentioned. I miss the foaming and all, though. I have had your same problem all my life, and agree dermatologists are useless for it. I didn't like all the chemicals, anyway. We have a son with bad skin allergy issues, and with him I found natural stuff was way better -- and often cheaper. Baking soda and apple cider vinegar is by far the cheapest way to go, but I have been using this for a month, and love it. So does the rest of my family. http://www.passionatehomemaking.com/2008/08/homemade-natu... If I'm straightening my hair, I have to skip the coconut oil or my hair looks greasy, but it works if I'm letting it go wavy.
Check resources tab at the top. She has some great resources. I have been using the Dr. Bronner's soap for our body wash, and my son's eczema is better, and my skin isn't itchy all the time. I just recently started using something else again, and the itching is back. The more natural I go, the more I think a lot of our problems are do to all our fancy science. :) Anyway, if you want to try it, Dr. Bronner's is available at Whole Foods and other health stores, too, although shipping is free, so it's the same price either way. You may be able to find something in all the resources that would help your oily skin. I have to admit, though, that just getting rid of all the unhealthy stuff seems to take care of a lot of those issues. My skin is dry and my husbands is very oily, and we both like the same products. Also, my husband likes the smell of my hair if I make the shampoo with the baby (unscented) soap and use tea tree oil. Another plus -- no lice. They hate tea tree oil. :) GL!
