10-12 c. oatmeal
1/2- 1 c. seasame seed
1 c. coconut
1/2c honey
3/4c. brown sugar
1c. chopped nuts
1c raisens
1c. corn oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1c. water

Mix all ingredients except oil, water, nuts and raisens. In seperate bowl mix oil, & water- combine with dry ingredients.
Bake 250 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet(s), mix every so often. Done when granola is toasted and golden.
Add nuts and raisens after granola has baked.

(Makes a lot so keep your oatmeal container to put some back in. )
I make this and give it away for Christmas. I LOVE IT. My mother made this when we were kids. I eat it with milk, or dry as a snack, or on yogurt.
Enjoy!

You can substitute almost any nut you want (Coconut, anything!)

8 cups rolled oats
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup chopped almonds
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
3/4 cup honey
1 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
3 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 cups dried fruit if you want

Preheat the oven to 325. Grease two large baking sheets. Combine oats and nuts. Set aside. In a saucepan, combine salt, brown sugar, maple syrup, honey, butter, cinnamon and vanilla. Bring it to a boil over medium heat and then pour over dry ingredients. Mix well and spread evenly on baking sheets. Bake until crispy and toasted, about 20 minutes...but I think I baked mine a little bit more like 30 minutes. Stir half way through baking time. Stir in dried fruit after you remove it from the oven. (You don't have to use the fruit). This is soooo awesome with yogurt and fresh fruit.

5 C. Quick Cooking Oats
3/4 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. nonfat dry milk (I don't use this)
1/3 C. concentrated apple juice
1/3 C. honey
2 TB cinnamon (I use 1 TB because dh likes it better)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C. dried fruit (I add more than this)

Mix sugar, juice, dry milk, and honey in saucepan and heat over medium heat only until sugar dissolves
Combine dry ingredients and fruit in mixing bowl.
Pour sugar mixture slowly over dry mixture and blend well.
Place on cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 10-20 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.

Options: wheat germ, peanuts (I recommend crushing them), sunflower seeds, coconut, sesame seeds, peanut butter, or whatever...

Here's the one my family loves:

6 cups old fashioned rolled oats
2/3 cup honey
2/3 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 to 1 cup dried fruit (I like to use mixed fruit)

Place oats in an ungreased 13x9 pan and bake at 350* for 10 minutes. Mix oil, honey and vanilla-add to oats and mix well. Bake until uniformly golden brown and dry, stirring every 3 to 5 minutes. Allow to cool and add dry fruit.

This isn't really granola, but it's good! It's rather easy because everything is 1 cup. Good luck finding carob powder (I get mine from Ameriherb).

1 cup of the following:
toasted pumpkin seeds
toasted sesame seeds
carob powder
peanut butter
honey
dried fruit (such as raisins, currants, etc)

Mix completely, then press into a pan and refrigerate. They'll solidify a bit more when cold. Cut and serve. (note: We like our pumpkin/sesame seeds a tiny bit burned. It tastes a little bit like coffee and chocolate together. Yum!)

Spread the pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds on a baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly toasted. Set aside to cool.
Reduce the oven temperature to 325. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
In a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup, brown sugar, cranberry juice, and cinnamon over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved.
In a medium bowl, mix together the oats, almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and salt.
Pour the maple mixture over the oat mixture and stir until combined. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Stir in the cranberries and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until the mixture begins to brown. Cool completely. Store airtight in a plastic container for up to 1 week.
