My husband buys Frango mints for his people at work. I've also heard of scratch off lottery tickets.
What does the boss buy for the folks he works closely with? They receive bonuses, etc... but he would like to give something just from him. Any ideas?
Thank You ladies. You had some great ideas and it helped us to brainstorm on which way we really wanted to go. Last year the theme was "relaxation" and we decided on neck massagers. This year nice headphones.
Thanks for your help!

Our boss got a bottle of wine for those who drank alcohol, and for those who didn't (like me) a festive cheese/sausage gift package.
His favorite book signed with his well wishes., music, tickets to an event.
I love giving a sparkling wine or apple cider (depends on the person) I sign the bottle with a gold metallic pen and say Happy New Years! I place this in a couple of Party hats that are New Years top hats with noise makers and poppers..
Bath and body works hand soaps. GC to a local establishment to eat not fast food. My two bosses gave me a GC to a chocolate cafe when I went on maternity leave :)
It really depends on how much he wants to spend. Also is he personally paying for it? If so set a budget, divide that by how many workers and go from there. If he is going to do it through the company or be reimbursed then that needs to be talked over with his work before anything is picked.
I have seen chocolates, fruit basket, cheese & meat basket, wine, Christmas ornament, ipod, gift cards from $5-25 to a local eatery or grocery store, movie passes and a catered lunch (done in office so everyone can have a nice holiday lunch).
My husband gives Rosemary trees in gift bags, carried to work. His boss gives big poinsettias, delivered to home. A client sends Greenberg Smoked Turkeys. A retired employee sent William Sonoma peppermint bark to a bunch of people. Magnolia Cafe does a beautiful box of decorated sugar cookies spread out on crinkled shredded paper. We give those boxes to a few people who need a "something" from us. Who doesn't like decorated sugar cookies? :)
A gift of a night "out"... depending on how much he would like to spend you could do movie tickets and a gift certificate to a local chain restaurant would be welcome.
My husband's boss did this a couple of years ago and then put in a $20 visa card to pay our sitter and it was wonderful!
This year I have them starbucks gift cards.everyone drinks coffee or tea in my group so it was a big hit with them
A themed basket.
Either some sort of food (ex: spaghetti noodles, sauce, sparkling wine or grape juice, spaghetti serving utensil).
Or
Event (such as a movie, microwave popcorn, popcorn containers to eat in, a 2 liter of soda or some lemonade, movie theater size box of candy).
Or
Something as simple as a pair of movie tickets, meat and cheese gift box, or some theater tickets to a good show!
