My son has the same issues and it is from slobber or maybe leftover food on face that is missed. He is 5 and it is still a problem. Pacifier might need to start going away to help solve the problem.
My daughter is 13 months old. For a few months now she's been having skin problems on her face, around her eyes and mouth she's breaking out. I thought it was from her rubbing stuffed animals on her face (she does this when she's tired) so it's been 4 days now since she's had any, i took her blankets away last night thinking it might be those and she's still waking up with red bumps around her eyes and mouth. Also does anyone know about a pacifier for sensitive skin? Thanks to all those who help.
I want to thank everyone for their help. I tried a couple of different things and what I found was a miracle cream! Gentle Naturals Baby Eczema Cream! She has been on that for about 3 days and her face is almost completely clear! She's doing o.k. without the stuffed animals (not happy about it) but she won't go without the pacifier, so this cream has done wonders! So thanks to everyone for thei suggestions.

sounds like baby acne. Not weird at all. All three of mine had it and it went away. I use Arbonne Baby Care line on them and it cleared up. Its all pure, safe and beneficial products and botanically based.. so good for little ones. I cant use anything else on my kids.. Just a thought.

Have you tried really cleaning the stuffed animales? You won't believe how dirty they can get in such a short time. She could have started having a reaction toward the soap your using. Think of any changes at all that you or anyone she has come in contact with.
My daughter didn't have any skin problems till she got over the 12 month age. She got a rash around her mouth and nose. Doctor said it was from her saliva build up under the pinky. Get one that has more holes in it. Plus you have to wash the pinky off more often and her face of course. This seemed to help.
Hi K.,
Have you changed laundry soap recently or dryer sheets? Is she eating more fatty foods, oil & sugar? This will cause these reactions too. French fries, deep fried, sugary foods, food colorings, high fructose corn syrup all affect the body in different ways. Try to make sure her daily diet consists of 100% juices, fresh fruit & vegetables...Organic is really the best way to go. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy Organic produce than the regular produce...it's so much better. I don't feed my family Organic food all the time...wish I could afford to... but I do try to buy Organic produce, fruits, chicken, cereals, milk, & what ever I can subsitute for that other stuff. My family is a lot healthier now that I do that. My daughter uses a NUK pacifier. It has the silicone nipple on it. She has no problems with it. Hope this helps.
If you have any questions about nutritional products (vitamins & minerals) I can help you. Just send me a email & I will gladly give you some great information.
Hey Kelly,
Maybe try a different laundry soap. I was using Dreft and after a month my daughter starting getting a rash (hive like) on her face and chest I changed to All Baby and it went away in about 2 days. Also if she only gets it when she is sleeping she may be getting too warm, we had this problem too. She would get little bumps on her face and sometimes on her neck that would fade about an hour after she woke up. Her Dr. said she was just getting too warm. He said not to worry as long as she was staying asleep and not sweating (like her head being soaked). I hope this helps. Take care and good luck.

What has you Dr said the red bumps are?
sometimes babies get heat rash or irritation, but without seeing them it is hard to say.
Have you tried changing detergents.Does she sleep on a pillow and if so try using a different one.Sometimes babies skin is extra sensitive to things that wouldn't affect us.She could be allergic to what you wash her sheets in or the fabric in the pillow.Just a thought.Anyways good luck!
Hi K.. My son gets a rash on his face that sounds similar and its excema. I use Aquaphor, its like a little tub of miracle cream for him. Also if it gets itchy the Dr told me to use a 1% hydrocortisone cream. Just a little dab on the spots that are itchy and then the cream over top. Another thing that seems to help is Baby Naturals Exzema Care. Good luck, I hope this helps.

mam makes pacifiers for sensative skin. The only place I was able to find them was babies r us.
Kelly, have you taken her to the dr to rule out any infections (I would do this 1st)then i would just keep tring what everyone else has suggested. My daughter has VERY sensetive skin. She once got a rash on her face from sweating while she was asleep I know someone else mentioned this also. So i don't give her the soft furry like blankie's anymore she gets the homemade ones that are like comforter type cloth. Hope this helps (check her detergent also)
I just noticed you said around the EYES allergies???? Do you have animals? I would call her doctor if you havn't already
Good Luck

My daughter is almost 17 months old and it sounds like she's going through a similiar situation! We've been dealing with this for months now. She's battling this unknown rash around the mouth area. The doc said it seems to be some form of dermatitis and suggested I use Bacitracin 3x daily. I've been doing so and it helps a little, but I found I have better luck using Aquaphor. I thought it was from drool that comes with teething or her binky, but I'm not sure. It think it's a combo if everything! What has your doc said? I would check with the office about what they suggest!
Goodluck!
