Hi!
I have problems with dry heels. When it gets too bad, I slather on petroleum jelly / vaseline and put on socks right before I go to bed. Helps overnight. Then pumice once in a while.
Good luck!
I keep my toes painted religiously & always looking nice. But I have the hardest time with the bottom of my feet. I use that pedegg foot thing a lot but I still have rough & dry feet. So please tell me your secrets of keeping soft smooth nice feet. I feel like the only one with this problem! Thanks in advance.

I got a callus shaver at Sally's. You can find them at most beauty places. I soak my feet for about 15 min in the tub then towel dry them and use the shaver. You have to be careful becuase it is a razor, but works wonderful!!
put vaseline on them and socks before you go to bed.
treat the inside and the outside. make sure you are well hydrated. eat plenty of good fats like avocado, olive oil and nuts. put a nice thick coat of vaseline on your feet at night and wear socks to prevent staining your bedding.
That ped egg thing is junk. I have tried everything - from burts bees stuff to vaseline and socks overnight. Nothing works long term. The only way I keep my feet soft and looking sexy is by getting professional pedicures. Budget $30 a month (or bi weekly, whatever you prefer) and save yourself the hassle and get a pedi. So worth it!! Good luck!
I give myself "pedicures" from time to time. I use Mary Kay satin hands set, usually, or sometimes for a more complete, pampered feel, add in a mask and sugar scrub.
You can actually probably get a Mary Kay consultant to do a pedi party for you and your friends for free! Go to www.marykay.com and enter your zip code to find a great consultant near you, then call her and ask if she does pedicure parties (they have a special pedi set for the summer, so chances are she does). Now, she will be selling the items as well, this is how she makes money, but it's a great way to try it before you buy it and if you hate it there's no obligation! (I love my consultant!)
go to bath and body and buy the cream called cracked heel treatment. when you walk outside barefoot it will make the bottoms of your feet rough and calloused. I would recommend to do the ped egg then put on some of that cream on then socks before you go to bed. that will help trap in the moisture.
good luck
I do my own pedis at home with Mary Kay sugar scrubs and lotions (for scented pedis... unscented I use Satin Hands)... and on some evenings after I exfoliate my feet or just after a day of whatever, I love to slather on Extra Emollient Night Cream (another Mary Kay product- you can tell what I like to use I'm sure! LOL), put on socks and sleep with them on. The next morning my feet are sooooo soft, smooth and moisturized... and sandal ready!
I use the Burts Bees Coconut foot creme with Vitamin E...in a tube like a tube of toothpaste. It is the best thing that I have ever tried....just put on socks afterward until it soaks in. The problem is being consistent...it is hard to remember to put the creme on when your feet are nice...but need to so they STAY nice. :)
vaseline and socks...and then put on your running shoes. The friction caused by that is great. In a couple days you will have soft feet. And make sure to regularly exfoliate them in the shower.
I use a glass foot file. Originally I received a glass nail file as a gift from my boss and then discovered when I went out to the Mesa Market Place (US60 & Signal Butte) that they also see glass foot files. They recommend you use it every day before you get in the shower and it will help make and then keep your feet nice. My mom has horrible problems with her heels and when she's diligent about using it I know it helps tremendously. She likes it much better than the Ped Egg. If you get one, just make sure they're from the Czech Republic. Those are the genuine ones. The others are made in China and have a spray coating on the glass file rather than the glass it's self being textured.
Coconut oil. Rub that on your feet at night and that will help. There is also something called Heel saver and that is advertised on tv and sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, that stuff works well.
Regular pedicures can definitely help.
ME TOO!!! Even if I get pedicurse every 2 weeks my feet will be rough by the next round. And I even gave up walking outside barefoot (to get something from the car or take the trash out quickly.) I HATE things on my feet period, shoes, socks, etc...especially to sleep - but I may try the vaseline thing!
I don't know why this is so effective, but it is! Fill a dish pan (rectangular fits the foot well) with fairly warm water and epsom salt (about 1 cup). Stir the epsom salts in thoroughly . Soak your feet until the water cools. Rub them gently with a towel to remove loosened, old skin. Rub any lotion into your feet and prop them up on a dry towel, while you read and have a glass of .....
Best of luck!
Try Bag Balm (it comes in a green can). It works wonders. You apply it on when you go to bed and put on socks so you do not get it all over your sheets. Its used for cows utters. But it has several other great remedies. We always keep a large can at home. Good luck
I use a wonderful lotion. If you use it twice a day and use a pumice every few days in the shower you will have what you want!
I have a problem with my heals as well. The trick that works for me is to use a pumice stone on my feet each and every time that I step into the shower. This daily rub down really keeps the hard callouses from building up. Once I am out of the shower, I smooth on some Eucerin moisturizer on all over my feet and then a pair of socks over that and keep them on for an hour or so while I let the moisturizer soak in. This daily maintenance is the only thing that has really worked for me.
