If you are going to go Polish, you gotta do kielbasa! It's usually already fully cooked so you just need to heat it through!
It's Friday and I plan to make dinner fast and get out of the house with the kids! What do I serve with potato and cheddar (frozen) pierogies. They weren't cheap, I bought them frozen at Costco during a recent demo. Thanx
I'm definitely getting the kielbasa. I learned something new today because I didn't know that Pierogies were Polish. Yummmm this should be good. Thanks again!

Kielbasa, garlic sausage, farmers sausage, breakfast sausage, bacon or meatballs (sweet and sour). Lots of fried onions and sour cream. Cole slaw and pickled beets on the side.
whatever veggie and a fruit the kids will eat or a side salad, I always keep it premade in the fridge. Potato and cheddar are pretty basic so you could do whatever you like, no big deal. Good luck.
I know this is late, but this is what I do.
I saute the pierogies in butter and then add a bag of california mix into the pan. I top it with armesan and usually some shredded something or other.
Hillshire Farms smoked kielbasa is pretty good to go with them.
You could also do cole slaw or sauerkraut on the side.
I've had to look around for my favorite - made with farmers cheese (I saute them in a little butter) - they just are not common in stores and super markets.
This place is the best I've found online that makes wonderful pierogies:
Not Polish, and not a fan of kielbasa so we do ham. And green salad.
I usually use turkey kielbasa .... The pierogies from Costco are soooo yummy! Can't wait for them to come back to ours so we can buy some more ... I'm all out!
We always serve them like ravioli. We top them with marinara sauce, loaded with chopped vegetables.
Since they're not especially nutritious I'd serve them with a veggie on the side. Green beans with some lemon pepper would be great.
