I am looking for snack ideas for my 10mth old that only has her 2 bottom teeth. I give her applesauce and all that, but I am looking for crackers and stuff.
I have been giving her the puffed stars by gerber, but she is getting tired of them and i don't think they are filling to her. I am worried about her choking on regular crakers. What has worked for you around that age?

What can I do next?

Yeah, I agree. I never had a problem with Cheerios or Ritz. The Ritz are so buttery that they just melt. Emme also LOVE(s/d) bananas, canned fruit cocktail, mandarin oranges...stuff like that. Emme didn't get her first tooth until she was 10 1/2 months old and she was eating all of that snack-y stuff around 7 months. Hope this helps a bit! :)

grated cheese, graham crackers, boiled egg, some Drs. ok yogurt at this age, watermelon, all of these in small pieces of course. My youngest could not really eat table food well until 1+ years of age. She just was very slow at getting her teeth in. If I think of others I will letcha know!

try cheerios and don't be afraid to try ritz crackers and maybe some chopped up peaches. the cheerios melt fast, the crackers smash up fast even without teeth and the peaches are mushy too and will slide down her through even without a lot of chewing. but as always just watch her closely until she gets the hang of the new foods.

I have a 9 mos old and I've been giving her hard boiled egg yolks and small pieces of cheese and well cooked carrots. I also break Kashi crackers into small pieces and she's good at gumming those, just need to watch that she doesn't put too much in at once. I give her well cooked pasta too. When my son was this age we would give him canned vegetable soup because all the veggies are mush and it was a good way for him to learn. My daughter seems to have a more distinguishing palate, so I might have to make vegetable soup from scratch!

There is something called Pirates booty (it's in the health section) it is hard to explain. It's consistancy is like a cheeto puff but fluffier. It will dissolve in their mouth.Hy-vee carries their own brand in the chip isle that is alot cheaper. Those Wagon wheels by Gerber are good.My kids loved them and they will dissolve.Gerber freeze-dried fruit and veggies are wonderful! They are very small and also dissolve. They are pricey but wal-mart carries thier own brand that is cheaper.Gerber also makes aninmal crackers but again they are pricey. You can get animal crackers by keebler that are the same thing they will mush up.Just don't get the Stouffer's ones yet. Those are the hollow ones that are hard.
