Have Any of You Mom's Gotten Pregnant by Intra Uterine Insemination?

I was 30 when we started 6 unsuccessful months of Clomid+ IUI before we decided on IVF. It was extrememly stressful (we tried for 3 years to get pregnant on our own- but the entire situation was stressful, as you probably are already experiencing) and hard on our relationship. Nothing like having timed intercourse when you are not in the mood!! However, in the end, worth every effort. We were able to conceive after a 2nd round of IVF, and have a beautiful little girl.
I do know others who have conceived through IUI.
All I can say is hang in there! I know its a rough go, and of course nobody can say "this time its going to work" with a guarantee, but if successful, worth it. And if it doesn't work, you are at the beginning of this journey, and still have options.
I got a little crazy, between the drugs and my already strung out emotions. And it seemed like everyone around me was pregnant! Honest communication between you and your husband, along with your doctor will get you through this.

Hi I got pregnant by IUI. It took 2 trys for us but we now have a 3 month old baby girl. So hopefully the 2nd time will work for you as well. Were you taking any fertility drugs or just the IUI? I was on clomid for almost a year but it did absolutely nothing for me.

my husband and I tried for five years on our own to get pregnant. it turned out i did have some issues that we did not know about, but after getting that fixed the IUI worked for us, we now have 4 year old triplets!!! it worked on our first try!! if you still are having problems after this second try, you might want to check into other doctors or different combos of meds. i would research as much as you can on doctors and meds before trying again.

Hi, I have twin boys from IUI. It took 2 tries with Gonal F as our drug. My boys are now 3 and we are trying again. So far we are into our 2nd month using a different drug(we were trying not to have twins again) but no luck. My first successful treatment I tried to be as stress free as possible and I was busy so I didn't really think about the process. I also was on progesterone.
Another friend of mine tried IUI 8 times until she got pregnant. Hang in there. It's a very emotional time. Living month to month and shot to shot. Good Luck. J. 32yrs and mother of 2 3yr old boys
