When is an infant considered constipated?
My grand daughters pediatrician states "a infant can go as long as 7-10 with a bowel movement"??

What can I do next?

Please talk to a pediatrician before giving your infant any supplements or medications for constipation.

If your ped says 7-10 days, then it's 7-10 days. And then, don't give your infant something you hear about online. Call the ped and ask him/her.

This is something your daughter and her pediatrician can work through.
You're the grandma now - step back and let your daughter take the lead on this - she's the Mama.
You don't treat your grand child with ANYTHING without the doctors okay.

I think that is if the baby is only breast fed. When our infant was constipated, the pediatrician recommended adding a bit of prune juice to her bottle. I don't remember the timeframe but at least that is a natural remedy.
