I saw this on tv, and my daughter really wants one, but it is so expensive, so I was wondering if anyone has tried them and has any comments about it.

Its the one that is 2 for 1 and 1 is $19.99.

TIA

No.
That brush would never work for me.

This is the best brush I've ever had:

Technically it's a brush for horses - but it works beautifully on my hair!

And for a $1.99 it's very reasonably priced.

I've found that for de-tangling, it's not so much the tool as it is technique.
You start at the end of your hair away from your scalp and gradually and gently work your way closer until it's all tangle free.
It helps if you keep it braided or up so there are fewer chances to tangle.
My hair is waist length.

My daughter saw this too and begged me to order it... I did and received numerous phone calls from the company saying that this other "free" stuff would arrive with it if I said yes to some program. I declined the program and two weeks went by, then I got a random email that my payment suddenly didn't go through. Yeah right, so at this point I just told my daughter no, not unless we see them in a store in the as seen on tv section where all of that stuff that can "only be purchased on tv" ends up eventually.

Amazon has a few reviews on these brushes but they are pretty expensive there.

Chances are it's at Walgreens for less and or no S&H and you can return it if it's a dud.

No, but we have a Knot Genie that I got on zulily for 8.99 and when the girls couldn't find it I picked up a Goody brush at Walmart that is about the same. I think it was under $4. Both work the same and do a great job.

They do the job, but my tangled baby still fights the brush although it has nothing to do with her hair. The hairdresser can shampoo and comb her hair and she will not make a whimper, but let mommy pick up a brush and it is a screaming crying tantrum complete with kicking, thrashing, etc. It is ONLY when I do it!!! What's that about?

My girls saw that same ad. After some research, I bought the tangle teezer at the local beauty supply store. My girls prefer it to any brush we've had. Less complaining while brushing do its worth it. I'm going to get one for my niece too.

NEVER buy from the as seen on TV websites! They are scams to get you to sign up for programs you don't want (as **E** pointed out) and often the S&H is far more than the product cost. So that great 19.99 deal ends up with a "free second - just pay S&H, and let's say S&H is $25 for one. Now your great $20 brush is $70 and they sign you up for a program that is an additional fee. There's never a number to call and cancel, and if there is, the cancellation takes 4-8 weeks, during which time, you're credit card continues to be charged for whatever program you inadvertently agreed to. Wait until you see it sold in stores, and if you never see it there, you're not missing out on anything worth the headache.

PS - always look up reviews for the as seen on tv products before you buy, too. They're eye opening - usually the biggest complaints are about the process, not the product. My favorite site to read for that is asseenontvsale.com people are very honest there.

ETA: So, we don't watch Sprout or The Hub and I'd never heard of the product, so I just looked it up on the website I gave above. 2nd review said this:

"Major scam! The website claims you get 2 brushes – one for $14.95 plus $5.95 shipping/handling and then the 2nd brush for $5.95 shipping/handling. When I got to my confirmation page they charged me $14.95 for each brush and $23.00 for shipping/handling. When I called their customer service number it was out of service. I’ve called my credit card company and flagged my account – I will not be paying for these brushes.

Beware!"

Exactly what I was talking about...
