I need to lose about 50 lbs and I'm 42. I have enjoyed getting everyone's responses. Thanks for your help. Something I have found to be great fun and that doesn't feel like exercise is Trikking. I saw it on the infommercials and found a used one on Craig's list. My 10 year old had to have one so I could use mine. It is addictive once you get started. I found that it really shifts the core, and buttocks regions in a positive way.

I have tried it and it does a great job. You need to have about an hour a day to commit to it. I have also bought some of their other ones because Slim in Six works you hard and well but is a little boring. I liked Turbo Jam too - more fun.

I have been a skeptic for such a long time b/c I have tried nearly every product out there. This stuff really works!
Have not tried that but wanted to advice you on other DVDs I have been doing. Leslie Sansone "walk at home" series, find them at Target or just about anywhere else. Best prices on Amazon I think. She has been doing the walk at home program for 27 years. I just found her this year and have been alternating among about 6 of her DVD's three times a week. I have lost 33 pounds this year and most of that has happening recently since starting her program. It is very doable and even fun. I don't have to force myself at all! Start out with maybe the "5 day slim down" or some other of her classic walks and work up to the "fat burning" and "big burn" DVDs that are a bit harder. I cannot believe the changes my body has made in the last 3 months! I just got out all of my size 8 shorts last night that I have had stored for over 4 years! I actually don't think it will be long before I need to go buy 6, that is how fast the weight is coming off. A workout routine is only as good as you sticking to it. If you go with something too hard or too boring, you won't keep it up. I'm so happy that I have been able to do this without spending a lot of money and getting a gym membership. Her DVDs are very inexpensive 6.99-14.99 on Amazon. Get a few and you will have fun and see results, I am a big believer. They are broken up into miles. If you feel ambitious, do 3-5 miles. If you don't have a lot of time, just do 1. Love it!
i haven't tried it, but i am trying to find someone in my area who can walk or ride bikes with me on a regular basis so i too can loose about 100 pounds. I am 28 and weigh over 200, so I need to loose about 100. If you live close by, we could get together a couple times a week or something like that...
I have a version of that called Beach Bodies, If you follow the diet, and do the excercises as they schedule - you WILL lose weight quickly! I lost 15 lbs in my first 3 weeks, and my hubby lost 20! And it wasn't as much the following weeks after but it was steady weight loss. It's NOT a quick fix - you have to put in the work of the diet AND the excercise. The workout is what 20 minutes but it feels like you were at the gym for 2 hours!

Any quick fix diet is going to back fire on you. Find a good doctor that is willing to help you lose weight naturally that way when you lose it you will keep it off. My husband and I have both been counting calories and carbs and have lost weight. He has went from 232 down to 212 and I have lost 29 pounds so far. The good thing is it's a change in eating habbits so we know as long as we eat right we will stay thin. I have a ways to go yet but feel much better and am very happy. My weight gain was from thyroid meds and other meds my old doctor gave me. I am now back on the right track. It is a diabetic diet that we are following. It's great. Like Sunday we had chocolate cake for dessert. I just had an ice cream bar for my 10:00 snack. We eat six times a day. If you want to know more just let me know.
