Half Naked Judge.

Did you see this article on MSN? This judge sent a pic to a female bailiff where he was naked from the waist up (you couldn't see the rest) in his shower. When asked about it by the press he said "Hot dog, yep that's me." and "Ain't no shame to my game" Did I mention that this woman bailiff is married? Her husband is none to happy about it. They are asking if he should resign. Honestly, I think he should be fired. Wouldn't this make for an incredibly uncomfortable work environment?

What do you ladies think? Half of me is indignant, half of me thinks I might laugh it off as ridiculous. All of me knows my husband would be PISSED! :)

ETA: If it was your boss, what would you do?

What can I do next?

Well, he shows that he has no real boundaries, professionalism, or class.

Don't think those are the kinds of judges we need. He should be fired, in my opinion.

ETA: If that was my boss, I would file sexual harassment. I don't even know what my husband would do.

Probably look at suing him for sexual harassment!

That is not cool at all. I work in the legal field - what this judge did is unacceptable and he should definitely be fired. Judges, and law enforcement officers should be held to a higher standard than the average Joe because of their training and their positions of power. That judge has just lost a great deal of respect by his collegues, and the attorneys who appear in front of him. How can they possibly take him seriously now? And how can anyone who appears in his court respect him or his courtroom knowing the type of antics he engages in.

As for my hubby, he'd probably knock the SOB out!

I agree with you wholeheartedly when you say half of you is indignant and half of you is laughing. I do think the guy has a bit of a screw loose, and that's ENOUGH of a reason not to have him in the job as judge.

(Oh, and it IS sexual harrassment - wonder what kind of rulings he has made in previous cases? Another reason for him to be fired!)

It will be interesting to see what happens next!

LOL!

I work in a court. I am 100% on board that he should resign. It was unwanted solisitation by a boss to a subordinate. He should be sued for sexual harrassment.

I would laugh my butt off, and then forward it to everyone I know. My husband would think it's hilarious too.

Years after my divorce I found out that the judge who presided over my divorce trial was often drunk and naked under his robes while on the bench.

On the surface it sounds funny but having been harassed at the office it is decidely not funny to be victimized at your work place (assuming of course there wasn't anything funny going on between them). His comments lend credence to a few loose screws as being part of his problem. He shouldn't be in any position but whether he's fired or forced to resign is only the means to the end. He needs to be removed from the bench. If he were my boss, I would press the matter as sexual harassment simply because I wouldn't want another woman to put up with his behavior. We should all be allowed to work free of such problems. My husband would go through the roof.

It's sexual harassment. I'd be reporting him to HR or the equivalent, minimum.

I don't think it's enough to judge this with the info we have. Who knows what kind of relationship he has with that bailiff. They could be friends who do this kind of thing all the time. On the surface, he sounds like a funny guy. The media can blow things way out of proportion all the time. Is it unprofessional? Of course it is! But we don't know the circumstances surrounding it.

It's sexual harassment.
She needs to make it clear his advances are unwelcome and should not be repeated.
If he persists, he's in violation of the law.
She has a case against him for making a hostile work environment.
Do judges HAVE an HR department?
This workplace needs a training session on sexual harassment (what it is and why you should avoid it).

My boss gave me a camera and told me to go to the bathroom and take pictures of myself. It happens.

It was wrong and unprofessional. But WHY would he send it to her. What is their working relationship like? Are they flirty with each other and such, go out drinking together after work, do they have an intimacy there... or did this photo just come out of nowhere and totally surprise her b/c they have an extremely professional working relationship? I would like to know THAT before calling to get him fired. But... it sounds as if a resignation is in order.

I don't think judges can be fired for something like that. Most judges can be removed from office only for breaking the law, which he didn't do. That is why they are rightfully calling for him to resign.

I think if he had been showing more than his upper body then I would be mad and making all kinds of waves. But he only showed his chest in a suggestive way.

He may have a crush on this woman and actually have thought she would like it. Men can be dense sometimes. I don't think he should lose his job over it. He should have to do some sexually appropriate education classes to learn what is right and what is wrong in the work place. Then if he ever did it again he would be gone.

If it were my boss, I would throw up! But seriously, I do not think it is a big deal, it was him shirtless. I see shirtless men all the time, at the beach, gym, jogging on the road, on TV, the internet. Seriously do people have nothing else to complain about!
