I have problems with my hair....it too is curly and out of control. Recently, I went to the Styling Hutch in Plano. It is not an upscale salon by any means, but they do specialize in curly hair. They practice a technique called Ouidad. The haircut is a bit pricy ($110), but it is two haircuts in one -- a regular cut and then an ouidad cut. Look them up. They also helped me with styling technique. Hope this helps.

I've gone there for years, super qualified stylists, plus a great place for massages, facials, mani/pedi and the works.
