Is Hillcrest and Arapaho too far for you? very close to Preston and Arapaho. If not my boys, husband and many friends are very happy with barber Laurie ###-###-####.
This might be too far, but King Barber, south of Arapaho on Coit. Old time barber shop style. My husband likes them a lot.

My nephew goes to the Boardroom (I think this is the correct name) in Highland Village area. There is also one in Allen. They have a website because I bought him a gift card recently. They do all kind of services for men. Facials, manicures, hair, etc. Classy place but masculine in nature. Not girly.
I second the Boardroom. I also can recommend Razor's Edge located at the Shops of Legacy.
