I think this is something you need to call your dr about. It sounds like you're maybe going through a very common after-birth hormone imbalance.

Besides what happens during pregnancy (you lose almost no hair), and afterward (you lose all the hair you didn't lose for 9 or so months), a change in thyroid levels can trigger hair loss. It might be worth having it checked out.

I had a friend whose thyroid caused this when she quit taking the pill (not after pregnancy), but I would check with your doctor.

Hi Kika,
No you are not the only one, I had the same problem but not as bad. Eventually it went away on its own. But I agree with Erica, you should talk to your doctor about it, you probably have a hormone imbalance or it can be because stress too.

Hi Kika, I started loosing hair from medication I was on while in the hospital, and I mean loosing hair, I would just being siting as hair fell out on to me. My husband did some research and he ordered me Ovations, and it has worked wonderful, I have so much new hair growth, thicker and longer hair, and my hair color lasts a lot longer than 6 weeks like before. I use the cell theorpy different than they say, but it has paid off big time for me, i have never loved my hair like i do now. Every one said talk to your doctor, i just used ovations and my hair is better than before it started falling out. J.

Talk to your doctor, low thyroid hormones can cause excessive hair loss and are common after pregnancy.
