I'd say ice like others have suggested. If gum gets on clothes I pop it in the freezer for a few minutes and it cracks right off
After 15 years or so...we got a new sofa a few months ago. The mysterious (but unknown) someone has already somehow got gum on the sofa. It's a thick fabric. What's the best way to clean it?

get a can of that electronic cleaner spray can I forget what its called but it has compressed air in it. if you hold it upside down and spray it will freeze the gum and you can pick it off with out getting water all over from the ice melting. my hubby uses it to freeze glue and so do chocolatiers when makes sculptures.
The can of compressed air for cleaning electronics, like Koren mentioned or ice. I would be afraid that the Goo Gone or the fabric softener would leave a spot on the fabric.
Awhhh you have a not me at your house too?
The only thing I know to try is ice......I am curious to see the answers your going to get. Lord knows with my 6 boys this is bound to happen. LOL
Have you tried goo gone?
Do you have any friends who shop with Melaleuca? Ask them for some Sol-U-Mel. I think ice is good for gum too; it hardens it, making it easier to scrap off. Good luck!
Try some fabric softener. I have used it on stuffed animals that my daughter put band aids on, it helped loosen the glue so I think it could work on gum.
Do you hve Compressed Gas Duster (the stuff you use to clean out keyboards and computer parts)? It makes the gum harder then a rock and falls right off.
Good luck
Doesn't an ice cube always remove gum? That's what I've always heard. Maybe try some resolve or even a pet cleaner might do the trick. I haven't had gum stuck on furniture before, only my shoes.
Good luck!
