hello0 everyone.. after weeks of having a broken computer i finally have it back and fixed thanks to my future fil .. anyway so a couple days ago my doctor sent me for a growth ultrasound (im 37 weeks right now) they were concerned that the baby might be too big to deliver.. as iv said before im tiny im only just barely 5foot tall... and apparently iv gained 42 lbs !! so i go for the ultrasound and by the doctors estimates the baby is around 6.2lbs so all is good i dont have a 12lbs baby in there lol but he said that as far as fluid goes im on the high end of normal.. he said something like normal is anything below 25 and im at 23.. but still normal because im below 25 so that could explain some of my giant belly.. im glad the baby isnt huge believe me but basically what that means is im just fat lol it should be fun trying to lose 40 lbs after i have her but o well .. anyway since i have to ask a question here it goes.. they printed out a picture of her face for us and she looks squashed .. it looks like her face was right up against the thing they move around your belly for the ultrasound... i sent the picture to my future mil and she was like haha it looks like she has her face pressed up against glass lol and i made the mistake of showing my little nextdoor neighbor and he was like aw thats so cute but why is she squashed?.. anyone ever see this with any of their ultrasound pics.. do i have a squashed baby or was her face realy right up against my belly during the ultrasound

What can I do next?

LOL! It's totally normal! I mean she is crowded in there, but not too crowded. Also, I just wanted to say that I've never, and I really mean never, heard of the doctors get the pre-birth weight correct. They seem to have a system that they use to measure it, but it really doesn't seem to be that accurate. I think they always say the baby is much bigger than it really is...so even in the next few weeks if they say she is getting so big and is X lbs, I wouldn't worry too much.

I have had 3 seperate ultrasounds of my little one this time around cause I was considered high risk, and this little one NEVER sits still long enough and I have barely any good profile shots, but I have one full face figure - that is all smashed too. I've never seen a full shot - and sent to my SIL to see if she thought my babies face was squashed and she said "no - just looks like he's underwater with his face pressed against the glass". I have nother ultrasound next week - so hopefully we can get some better shots - cause the full on face shot has me a little weirded out.

Welcome back!

My fav ultrasound was the 11 week one (high risk, I had several).

To go off that one I was going to have an alien cat baby!

I knew someone that had the doctor warn against an extremely large head--and they called the baby "Big Head Todd" until the birth--and he DID/DOES have a ginormous head!

One of my twins' faces was squashed in her 3D ultrasound picture and she came out looking fine. Don't worry. Meanwhile, if you're concerned about losing weight after your daughter is born, remember that exclusive breastfeeding burns 500 calories a day.

Enjoy these last few weeks of preparing for the baby!

I thought my son was going to have the biggest nose ever. It looked like it took up his entire face. Of course they are squashed thats not a very big area.
