Groin Pain - Pueblo,CO

I have been having groin pain since I was six months prego with my second baby. He is now 8 months old. It hurts so bad that I walk around holding my crotch when I am at home. My OB said it's no big deal. My regular doc said it's my pubic symphisis and will just hurt for awhile (we are going on 11 months here). The pain does get better and worse, but never really goes away. Walking is painful, so I don't do it for exercise (but will if that's the answer!). I have been to a chiropractor about it and it only helps for a day or two. It's really starting to interfere with my life. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
J.

Could it be a pulled ligament or tendon, or a pulled muscle?
Yoga might help. Start out slow and modify poses as needed to avoid additional pain, but over time it will build flexibility and strength. I would go with a live teacher over a video if that's possible. And talk to your doctor first to make sure there's no objection.
It could help you get your pre-baby body back too! :)

is it in your groin or is it your oelvic bone?? i had 4 really big kiddos (8,3--9,9--11,71/2--8,3--) i felt the major pelvic pain when i was preggnant with my third and i couldn't lay down in bed i had to sleep in a sit up position this didn't heal for months. the dr said it would take a while and it was not a big deal. it is a big deal if you can't go through your day without pain and feeling disabled.

here is my suggestion to you, wear a relly tight girdle around your hips and hopefully it will relieve some pain and help those bones to go back to regular. good luck **god bless**

J.,
I am so sorry! How unfortunate for you.
I suggest you find a Maximized Living office in your area. I had numbing in my my fingers during my pregnancy and ended up seeing Dr. Joe Arvay (spinegeek.com)
What I LIKE about these offices are their perspective on the body and how to care for it. The reason you feel better after seeing a chiro is because you are fixing the problem. However, it only lasts a few days cuz your body isn't used to holding your bones/spine in the right place. So, after a few days, it's back to where it was. I call Joe's office 'physical therapy chiro' cuz he adjusts you and at the same time you do some exercises to teach your body to stay in the corrected position! It's awesome!!! He's located near I-25 and 104th. If that does't work for you try www.maximizedliving.com and finding one near you. You can go in for a free exam, including xrays and diagnosis. I think it's worth a try!
Good luck hon, and lemme kow if you have more questions.

I had the same problem. My groin hurt so bad sometimes I couldn't take another step. I found that walking did help... the first few blocks were very painful, limping, hard to catch my breath painful, but then (I don't know why or how) it would go away and I could finish walking with little to no agitation at all. I do not know why this worked, and now it doesn't bother me at all. I did talk to a doctor about it who recommended acupuncture, but I never did it. I hope this helps.
