I am looking for a great and inexspencive sun block that won't clog my pores. I have horrible acne that I can manage if I don't use sunblock, but I also don't want to look 70 when I turn 30 in a few years. LOL. I have tried many face sticks, but they are all so greasy. yuck. Do you have a sunblock that you love? Please share.
I have very sensitive skin. Even the thought of using something with a lot of ingredients causes me to break out in a horrible painful rash.
But this sun down here is much more harsh than back home, I had to find one.
I finally found a lotion called "Faces" by. Hawaiian Tropic. It is oil free, 30 spf.
I have not had any terrible reactions to it, maybe since it is oil free you won't either. If memory serves it wasn't to terribly expensive but I have had it for 2 years now.

My sister and I have sensitive skin, we use Neutrogena Healthy Defense sunblock.
I've also used "baby" sunblock (tends to be better for delicate skin) but I like Neutrogena the best.

I use Aveeno daily moisturizer. You can get it in different SPF strengths and in a couple of different formulas. It's what my dermatologist recommended and I really like it!

I use (and sell) Mary Kay also and have used it since I was 13. Like the other ladies said, Mary Kay does have great sunblock but they also have several other products with SPF that aren't just sunblock. There is the TimeWise Moisturizer with SPF 15 plus. Plus a Tinted Moisturizer with suncreen or our TimeWise Day Solution has a SPF also. I've had acne problems also and none of these products have caused me problems. The best thing about these Mary Kay products that any Mary Kay consultant can let you try them out without purchasing them. Hope you find what you the products that work best for your skin.

Try Oil of Olay (sp?) for sensitive skin w/ spf. Mary Kay also has facial moisturizers with spf and also has an actual sun block for all over that is safe to use on the face. It works well on children as well. I'm very picky about what I put on my face, I usually use the above Oil of Olay when I'm out all day in the sun, like camping. I use the Mary Kay for everyday use.

There is a clear zinc oxide, you can wear it under makeup, called face potion. It costs about 2 bucks, and the little container lasts at least a month. I buy it at HEB or walmart. They usually only sell it during the summer so buy a few to get you through the year. My MIL had skin cancer on her face multiple times and this was what she was told to use. I use it and have never had clogged pores from it.

My dermatologist has never recommended sunblock before because he thought they were pretty much equal until now. He is recommeding Neutrogena with helioplex now. I bought some, about $10 a bottle, and love it. I got the spray and it goes on wonderfully. Sprays as thin as a hairspray, dries fast, and is non-greasy. I put it to the test this weekend and it works great! I just spray a little in my hands and pat my face!

Hi W., I'm a licensed esthetician and have been in skin care for over 20 years. I own a day spa in Brenham, Texas; K.'s Skin Secrets & Med Spa###-###-####). I lean towards natural and organic products. I have a spf 7 (my line, Ka'ren's Skin Secrets)which is organic then I have a spf 30 power by colorsciense and is endorsed by MD Anderson. In addition, I have an non-organic tinted sunscreen spf 30 that works over organic mosituriser. Hope this helps. Remember, higher spf's works on keeping you from buring but dosn't keep the skin from damage. I suggest after a short time in the sun, put a long sleeve cotton shirt on.

Merle Norman compact base & some powder. I buy the darkest Merle Norma powder & mix it with baby powder so it matches me in summer/winter. I can adjust it. I never wear sun screen on my face & I'm at the beach a lot. I never get sunburned on my face. If I didn't bath in sunscreen elsewhere - I'd burn bad. Yes - I get a hard time from some about wearing make up to the beach but.... that is why.

I too have very oily skin and acne break-outs. I use an Oil-Free Moisture SPF 15 by Neutrogena under my make-up and it works for me. I also use Bare Minerals foundation that has SPF 15 and my break-outs stopped. It takes awhile to get used to using a powdered foundation, but you'll get used to it and it's awesome. Your skin will look flawless. They sell it at Sephora and Bare Minerals boutique at La Cantera in San Antonio. If you get a chance the boutique at La Cantera will do a free make up application. Try it! You'll love it! There's no pressure to buy, but once you see how easy it is to apply and how your face will look. You'll love it!

Hi W.,
I use Olay daily complete moisture lotion with SPF 15. I'm 30 and get oily skin, but this is very non-oily. I tried to save money once and bought the Equate version of it at Walmart and it was NOT the same at all- very oily- so don't make that mistake if you decide to try it. One bottle lasts me a long time.

I have found that my daily moisturizer is an awesome sun block! I use Nutragena daily moisturizer. I use the moistruizer with a tint but they make it non-tint as well. I am not quite sure of the amount of SPF it has in it but it seems to do a great job! I have been using it for about 5 months and it's fabulous! One day I was outside for an extended amount of time and didn't put any sunblock on. My arms got sunburned but my face did not even get a slight burn!

Hi W.,
I like Mary Kay they have a day solution and a night solution.
The day solution has sunblock 30 along with antitoxins, vitamins and minerals to protect your skin. I've tryed Arbonnes products and I don't like them because they go old to quick. I also like Jafra products but they will go bad also if you don't use it quick enough.

Hi I live in Boerne not San Antonio, so I am not trying to sell you anything you can find an Avon rep near you. That said I sell Avon, and they have a face moisturizer that is non greasy and doesn't clog your pores, it has an spf of 30! it is called Avon Solutions Hydra Radiance protecting day lotion. the item # is 391-231 it sells for $12.50 but goes on sale frequently for about $9. It is for faces. I use it and I think that it is great. also have you tried Mineral make-up? it doesn't clog your pores, has a natural Spf and gives great coverage without any oils. Avon has that too, as well as Ulta or Bare Minerals, there are many on the market now. Good luck
