A great Dr. in Rochester is Dr. Daniel Greene of Contemporary Ob/Gyn. He delivers out of Crittenton. He is very supportive during birth, I have had much experience with him because I teach HypnoBirthing childbirth education and he is a big proponent of this method. RE: a hospital, no matter what hospital you go to, you need to develop a plan with your Dr. ahead of time and know what you want and don't want, and then use your voice to get what you want. In addition to childbirth education, hiiring a doula would also be a good idea to ensure you have the most tools with you to get you the type of birth you are desiring. You are in control of your birth, never give your power away to someone else thinking they will do it for you! If you have real concerns over the care that you will receive in hospitals, have you considered a homebirth or birthing at the Providence ABC?

Here is another thought for a good Dr. Dr. Cayle in Shelby Twp (corner of Dequindre and Avon Rd - at the edge of Rochester. He delivers at Beaumont Troy. He respects that a womans body is designed to give birth and also does cranio sacral work.
