Good Bra Question ( Sports and Nursing Bras)

Hello Moms!!
In the event of getting (back) into shape, I have begun a new workout program. I have found that my old, tried and true sports bras are not doing what they are supposed to do.

I am nursing and am about a C/D cup. (the sports bra doesn't need to be a "nursing bra")

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good (comfortable and provides amazing support) sports bra.

And while on the topic of nursing....does anyone have any nursing bras that they love?? I am nursing my 3rd child and just haven't found a nursing bra that provides great support. Is a good, supportive nursing bra an oxymoron?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

i love the donna karen sports bra it is underwire too but they made it so unique that the underwire is on the outside of the bra so it doesnt rub.. great support.. I think they only sell them at nordstrom in the bra section.. and they usually go on sale twice a year..

I recently bought some bras from Intimacy (www.myintimacy.com) which is located in the 900 N Michigan Ave (Bloomingdales bldg) in downtown Chicago. I bought some nursing bras, and some 'fun' bras to wear once baby is asleep and I am going out on a date or social event and know I won't be nursing.

They offer a free consultation and the bras I bought were on average about $50 each which is more expensive than a Target bra, but about the same you'd pay if you bought a nursing bra from a baby boutique. They are really fantastic and I was WAY off what I thought my true size was. I thought I was about a DD cup, turns out I am a G!!! I'm definitely on the bustier side, and I have truly loved the new support, and feel more perky and in some ways, smaller, which for me is a good thing. I'd highly recommend checking them out (you can make an appt time online, and they also accept walk-ins.) Beware though, some of their bras can run into the hundreds of dollars, so make sure you see the price tag before you decide you love a bra :).

I didn't ask for one but I believe they do sell sports bras too.

I absolutely love the nursing bras from Motherhood Maternity ... they have been working great for me and they really aren't that expensive.

I got fitted for a sports bra and nursing bras and regular bras before I was pregnant at Tina's Closet in Lisle. Fit makes so much difference! Just had to give it a shout out. I am well endowed and always had a difficult time finding supportive and comfortable bras until I went to Tina's. Not that much more expensive.

I had an E before I began nursing and comfortable bras...well..hard to find.
A bra shop turned me on to leading lady brand and I found supportive, comfortable, non-underwires there. I hope that helps.

After 10 years of nursing 3 children I finally found a nursing bra I finally love. The Bravado Allure http://www.bravadodesigns.com/shop/the-allure-underwire-n...
They are supportive, fit perfectly. They have a nice lower cut center so you can wear shirts with a nice V neck or a scoop and not be showing your bra. You don't get uniboob. They breathe. I just can't say enough nice thing about this bra!
THey are a little expensive but I have found them at other online retailers on sale and have found coupons to bring the price to a more reasonable level. But, honestly, they are worth every penny! I can not tell you how many nursing bras I have gone through in the last 10 years and I'm finally not complaining about them. I am a 36E at the moment and have been bigger and they have been amazing!

I LOVE my Enell Sports Bra. I think it was about $50 but well worth it. There is no movement whatsoever, which was always a big embarassment for me (I was DDD).

I've seen them in running stores and stuff too.

My favorite is the 'Cuz She Says So' from Title9... but I've found all of their bras to be great... and as a C/D you might really want to look into the 'Triple Threat'.

Surprising enough, I found that the MTA bra for high impact worked great for me. It's only $10 and they sell it at Meijers. I've tried many as I am a 34DD and so the bounce is usually bad, but I got the small or medium (whatever it said for a 34) and they hold me so tight that it's not a problem to run. That being said, you must also HAND WASH your bras each time. If you ever throw them into the washer you destroy the spandex and elastic the first time! I was told this by a professional bra fitter and my husband confirmed it when he washed one of mine in the washing machine. So, I always hand wash and line dry them and they work like champs.

This is my 3rd time nursing. I went out and got new bras with each new baby. This time I tried Majamas EZ Bra. IT IS GREAT!!! I won't wear anything else now! Super comfy! I got mine on diapers.com. Free shipping and free returns if you're unhappy! I was SUPER happy!
