I drank ginger tea and used Sea Bands. You can get Sea Bands at the drug store. They are for motion sickness and did help.
Are there any moms out there that are gluten free, if so what did you eat in your early weeks of pregnancy for morning sickness. I wish I could eat soda crackers but they are not gluten free. Any suggestions?

Trader Joe's has a rice cracker that is gluten-free. It should be with all the crackers. Doulbe check the label as sometimes they have 2 of the same type on the shelf. If yours doesn't carry them, ask a employee to see if they can get them. Whole food is expensive but has a larger selection of gluten-free crackers as does Raley's.
Ginger works good and there are the wrist bands that are used for motion sickness that may help as well .
Try ginger and red raspberry/peppermint tea. Also this acupressure point in between your thumb and forefinger really helps with morning sickness.

You may want to try a bit of sugared ginger. Ginger Ale always helped me. There are gluten free crackers. A cup of black tea with a wee bit of sugar and milk.
If you have a Trader Joe's near you ask them for a list of their gluten free products. They have a bigger selection than most stores. Whole Foods does too...
I am not gluten free and I'm not certain what that restricts, but I found that baked/boiled/or mashed potatoes made the morning sickness stay away much longer than bread or crackers. Crackers do work for the instant fix because you don't have to cook them, but if you keep a few baked potatoes around they are easy too.
Hard candy also really helps.
Chex brand rice and corn cereals are now gluten free, and since they are at the regular grocery store, they are easy to get.
I kept a container of GF corn flakes by the bed and would eat some in the morning before I got out of bed (my OB recommended this). The crunching bugged my husband but we also laughed about it. The glutino pretzels were good at other times but too salty for the morning. I didn't eat them at the time, but the Glutino plain crackers are kind of saltine-like. I also liked Whole foods beef jerky (kind of expensive) and tater tots (I think the starch helped). At work I would suck on Trader Joe's organic lollipops. I had read somewhere that hard candy helps and it did. Ginger made me feel worse. Finally, I took vitamin B-6 and it really, really took the edge off. Ask you doctor about it. Good luck and congrats!

There are lots of gluten free crackers out there these days. I've also found some gluten free pretzels from Newman's Own that taste pretty good.
Soda crackers - or crackers in general- are not always the answer. Each person is different. What it really takes is finding what carbohydrate works for you. It is best if this is combined with a protein. It is also a matter of having food in your stomach. Don't get in this cycle of being nauseous and therefore not eating because that will make it worse. For some the combo that works it is apples and peanut butter, others macaroni and cheese (you can use brown rice noodles from Trader Joes). With my first, it was pasta - any pasta with a red sauce and meat; the second pregnancy changed and oranges worked for me with string cheese. The other thing you can try is chicken broth with some of the crackers mentioned by others. The chicken broth is easy on the stomach and still gives you the nutrients you need.

Glutino makes a breadstick that is pretty good. And I definately second the broth idea. Other foods that might be good would be mashed potatoes, bananas, midel gingersnaps. I also find that when I'm pregnant I get nausea if my blood sugar is out of whack and eating protien on a regular basis helps a lot. My favorite quick protiens are a handful of nuts, peanut or almond butter on a cornthin, beef jerky (check the ingredients, we use world kitchen) and hard boiled eggs. Hope this phase passes soon.
I didn't know I was gluten intolerant until after my kids were born, but anything with ginger really helped. Ginger ale is the easiest, but if you like ginger, fresh pealed would probably be the fastest/most direct dosing. I would also think that rice cakes might help but don't know for sure.

The sesamark brown rice crackers are perfect (you can find them pretty much at any major supermarket in their health food section). I also really like the Kinnikinnick Italian White bread. If you microwave it for 30 sec (2 pieces) it gets really pliable or if you toast it it tastes great. You can find this at Whole Foods or Nugget in the frozen gluten free sections. Also, Udi's muffins are the bomb. Microwave those too before eating. Glutino pretzels are good too. All are pretty easy on the tummy...
i do not have to be gluten free, but my husband and 2 kids are! so i have definitely gotten used to it! lol.
here are a couple things that would help, try sipping on ginger ale. The ginger will really help to settle your stomach. Also, for me, sucking on peppermints really helped to ease my stomach.
also MAKE SURE your prenatals are gluten free! most over the counter vitamins are not! we buy all of ours online because they are gluten free and its made a big difference for us!
