Hi Ladies! My best friend and I are long overdue for a girls' weekend. She lives near Pensacola, FL and I'm near Kansas City. Any suggestions? We're both willing to fly, but want to stay in the continental US. We would go in October for a long weekend (Fri-Mon). We've tossed around Vegas, NYC, and Chicago. What are your suggestions, ladies?
About us: We are both 33 and like to shop, go to the spa, see shows (Broadway and Vegas type), eat out, and see new things. We're not really into drinking or nightclubs.

Nashville - excellent eye candy & shopping there
Little Rock or Hot Springs - my vote would be Hot Springs & all of the bath houses!
Memphis - Elvis, lots of good music & BBQ
The Smokies - perfect for the Fall & Gatlinburg just rocks!!
Hello, I'm sure there are lots of places, but given you're going in October makes me smell Fall. Have you ever been to Gatlinburg, TN?
It's beautiful there that time of year. Take a car ride through the Smokeys.
Do something different, rent a cabin or stay at Park Place, which sits on a hill. You don't need a car; walk, trolley or cab. Since you've done the spa's and shows, make this a time to relax and enjoy some scenery. Pack some jeans, long sleeves and a jacket and enjoy the fresh air! Wherever you go, have fun! I need a girls week end, too. :)
I'd chose DALLAS! I love Dallas...so many things to do & see and the weather is WONERFUL in October! Better check it out!
I have been to Nashville and its awesome! Its a different world there, great bars, great music, and super great people! I also vacationed once in Gulf Shores, AL and that was wonderful too. Cheap places to stay and a short distance to drive with things to do.
