$5 gift cards for Starbucks or a book store/bakery or a shop near the Y
I take my son to the YMCA daycare 4 days a week, and have been for several months now. They ladies that keep him are super nice. Each day there are two of them. One lady is always the same, and then her "helper" is someone different everyday. I'd like to give them something, especially the one that is there everyday but what do I get. I have a limited budget and don't know how to cover all the different women. Any suggestions???

I have done both of the other suggestions. One year I got 3 gift cards. 2 for $10 to Target. The lead teacher was pregnant, so I got her a $30 card.
The next year I took a bowl with a bunch of miniature hersheys chocolates, kisses, etc into the center labelled for all of the ladies.

Hi
You could get something that is for the day care center for them all. For example a big box of chocolates (they sell really big basket/hamper types at Costco). That way you don't end up spending lot's on individuals and don't need to feel bad about getting something for the main lady who works everyday and not the others.
My strongest suggestion is to stay away from bath/lotion products. Childcare workers seem to get overwhelming amounts of them!
For the lead teacher that is always there, you could do a gift card (target, walmart, t.g.i.fridays, etc) and send in cookies and candies for the others.
McDonald's gift certificates are great - you can get a larger one for the lady who is there all the time and smaller ones for the others.
Or how about making a cookie tray for all of the ladies and bringing it in next time you go? Or small loaves of banana bread? or home made ornaments?
YMMV

I concur with the group gift - if you have the time, make a big plate of cookies and take it in, then everyone can enjoy. You could also help your child make an ornament for the lead teacher as her special "extra" gift! Michaels has tons of ideas, and nothing too expensive.
Happy HOlidays!!
