Didn't give my kid's godparents anything for the baptism but did for Christmas - personalized doormats!
Hi Moms,
Wondering if there's a tradition out there that you are supposed to get the godparents gifts on the day of the child's baptism? I didn't do this with my son but saw it happen at a another baptism. My daughter will be baptized in August which is why I'm asking...thanks for your thoughts!

I agree, a picture with them at the event would be nice, maybe something engraved with the child's name on it if you want to go a little further.......I'm sure whatever you get them would be fine........just a token to remember the event.
Take care and congrats on the new little girl.
I just ordered this picture frame:

And am going to put a picture of the godparents (they are married) holding our son!
We are Godparents to 3 children, and we did not get a gift for any of the Baptisms. I don't think it is a "requirement" rather just something to say thank you!
we got a pretty picture frame with a picture of the godparent with the baby from the baptism for them for our kid's godparents. It seems like these big events always become big gift giving things, but you dont have to go crazy with it if you dont want to. I didnt expect a present when I became a godparent, I thought the honor was enough.
