Good Luck in getting pregnant!!
I was just wondering if anyone has taken the Lupron shots and how long it took for everything to wear off. I had my last 12 week shot on May 19th so the 12 week mark was Aug 11. I know it will take a little while for the side effects to go away completely, but I am wondering about how long, b/c they are awful. My dr told us on Aug 18th that we can start trying again to get pregnant, but I haven't had a period since the end of January, and I'm not really sure what our chances are this quickly. We really want to have a baby and started trying in Jan 08, really just wanting to know how soon that may be possible. How long did it take you after having the shots? Thank you for any and all help.
Good Luck in getting pregnant!!
Well I had Lupron after surgery for endometriosis but I couldn't take it. I only took 2 doses and said enough is enough... the dr's found no reason for us not to be getting pregnant and eventually we just decided to adopt and couldn't be happier with our decision. However because I didn't take my full doses of Lupron (or maybe just because it wasn't meant to be) my endometriosis came back harder than ever and was actually crushing my urinary system and had to have a full hysterectomy. So here I am 30 with a beautiful adopted daughter and no chance of ever getting pregnant and going through all the effects of menopause when it may of been just as easy to take the Lupron for the full time and it may of been avoided, all except the adoption part that was meant to be.
Basically I'm saying good for you for sticking to that icky stuff I couldn't do it and maybe things would of turned out better for me physically if I had. I obviously am no help on the pregnant part, but I can give you great adoption advice lol But GOOD LUCK on the motherhood adventure
Hi!
I have severe endometriosis and I was on lupron for 6 months than got switched to Depo (3 times the usual dose) and was on that for 6 years- I honestly did not try and get pregnant after Lupron but it took me almost two years after getting off the Depo shot and then getting off birth control to get pregnant. I was told the effects of Lupron and Depo are very strong and can last in your system for over a year or more. Difference is with me as soon as I was off the shots- I had a period immediatly but was not regular at all and I bled all the time...birth control even had problems keeping me regulated....honestly the side effects from Lupron and the Depo took me about 3 years to get away from (yes it is bad and slowly and gradually effects disappeared). I know that is not something you want to hear and I pray you do not have it as rough as I did...good luck to you!
I know someone pregnant right now.
