I had a small gangolian cyst on my wrist/the underside of my wrist, right where the hand meets the wrist. It wasn't very big, but where it was, it caused a lot of pain.
I played volleyball and must have bumped the ball in the exact right spot on my wrist. There was instant pain, my wrist hurt like a b*tch--and then I noticed the next day that the gangolian cyst was gone. (Well, I think it was gangolian. Or maybe it was a bone/calcium cyst; it sat between two small bones in the wrist.
I've never had another issue with that type of a cyst, so I've never had to do any alternative experimenting.
My husband had a huge gangolian cyst on the backside of his hand between the wrist/hand. He had no option but to have it surgically repaired. A gangolian cyst is a rip or tear in the sheath that allows for fluid leakage; the cyst is the fluid that has collected in a pocket. They couldn't just drain his because the tear inside was too big; it would have just filled right back up again.
Most alternative sites say to excise the gangolian cyst you currently have, then use alternative methods to ensure you never get another one.
