I am wondering if anyone knows of some GREAT furniture stores in the Twin Cities. I have already checked out the big-box stores (i.e. HOM, Ikea, Slumberland, etc.) and just don't see anything that jumps out at me! (We're looking for some occasional chairs and some dressers.)
Just moved here from California and I know in CA we knew of some great little off the beaten path type of stores where you might find something just right. Hoping someone knows of some of those places here!

Have you tried Five day furniture in Bloomington? Its an overstock store so you wont get the overall options of the big guys but they have some different, charming stuff and you can get really good deals.

There is a place called Embellish in Wayzata. I used to work there, and it has very cool stuff. It is classy and funky all at the same time. It is a little pricey, but you really do get what you pay for. I worked there about three years ago, so I don't know if it's changed much since then.

What about Gabberts in Edina? They have a good Clearance center. In the same area you will find Room and Board and Marshall Field's furniture store.
