Fun Summer Activities

With thta many kids, this may be costly, but my kids have always loved NRH2O (you can bring your own food and drinks here, so admission is all you pay) and Six Flags. We got Six Flags passes this year, so after 2 visits, it's paid for. We also go to Ranger games a lot which is fun. They're playing so badly now, there are all kinds of discounts and coupons just to get people to come in the door. Plus, you can bring your own snacks and a small cooler which saves a ton. Last weekend, we went to the Ranger game and Six Flags and only paid $6.50 out of pocket (my son HAS to have his nachos :).

You may want to sign up for newsletters from Fort Worth Child magazine. They have many activities listed each week, and some are free! There is also a Dallas Child magazine, too. Good luck!

You could join us at summer camp - www.AdventureDayCamps.com - parents are always welcome. we offer archery, target shooting, kayaking, fishing, swimming, orienteering, arts and crafts, and more. We also have 2 Family Campouts coming up - May 24th/25th on Lake Grapevine and June 14th/15th in Colleyville. We will have camp on July 4th, but we are adding a BIG Family Day where families can join us for a fun packed day of activities, grilled lunch, fireworks that night, and campout overnight. I asked the same question a while back, and got these answers...

the park, the zoo, the Train that runs from the Trinity Park to near the zoo, the Botanic and Japanese Gardens, the library, local rec centers offer low priced classes and camps, and then I found out my niece likes to play at the indoor playplaces like at McDonald's. I got away with bringing her a snack and only buying drinks for us. And another mom said she "schedules" times for art, t.v., music, etc at home. I know we will be playing in the sprinkler (only on our appointed days to water and at the appropriate hours of course).
