My father is visiting for the first time. We already went to the Canton Fleamarket, Fort Worth Stockyards, Dallas Arboretum, IMAX at Fairpark, Waxahachie, Galleria, Las Colinas Canals, Northpark Mall, etc.
What are your recommendations for other things to do?

What can I do next?

Have lunch on top of the ball at Reunion Tower (you can ride the DART train there) the West End has some fun stuff like street vendors especially on the weekends, the Farmer's Market downtown if also interesting. The Dallas World Aquarium, the Dallas Zoo or the Fort Worth Zoo, the Dallas Museum of Art, Kimball Museum in Fort Worth, Science Place. There also are theater opportunities, if you are interested in that.

We just thought of this for a friend but they had a teen with them and I hadn't thought of a few you have on here are places we juggled Texas Ranger or Frisco Ruff Riders game, and then Mavs or Stars. You can tour the new Cowboys Stadium go to Six Flags or Traders Village on the Arlington side. Depending on where he is coming from and his likes there is always tons of plays (big & small) going on at Fair Park or the small theatres in uptown or the Improv in Addison. Good Luck & have fun!!!

Any interest in the Kennedy assasination? There's Dealy plaza and the 6th floor museum, then have a good lunch or dinner somewhere in the West End.

Did he ever watch the tv show Dallas? My in laws were big fans of the show so we took them to Southfork Ranch. It was definitely worth the trip. Also, take them to the Sixth Floor Museum if you haven't gone. It is a great museum and they can see where Kennedy was shot. (not our proudest moment, but none the less...) Also, I think Scarbourgh (sp?) Fair is going on now...

I don't know if this would interest him, but the Log Cabin Village in Ft. Worth (near the zoo) is really cool. It's like walking through a Log Cabin Village in frontier times. They have different cabins that showcase different things (like blacksmithing and making fabric). Plus it's really cheap! Like, $3.50 admission per person. And I think if you go online you can get a 2-for-1 coupon.

Oh, also, you can go to the rodeo at the Stockyards on Friday or Saturday night!

have a great visit!
