With frozen fruit, once it unthaws you need to add sugar to it. Put it in a bowl, and just sprinkle whatever sweeetner you use on them. Let it sit for about 30 minutes to let the juice absorb the sweetner. Stir it and it should be sweet.
Hi Moms~
I bought a bag of frozen peaches (won't do it again) in a desperate attempt to get a taste of summer. They taste terrible. Any ideas of what to do with these? They are beautiful sliced peaches but they have almost no flavor. Any way to develop the flavor or ....anything?

I was going to suggest smoothies too. A little juice, vanilla yogurt and peaches, yum!!
I make a cobbler out of them all the time. I also add frozen blueberries to it. Fantastic!
*Try putting them in a peach cobbler - my mom cans peaches and does this all through the winter!
Keep your head up -Summer is just around the corner- =)
L.; mash em up and put them in yougurt, or ice cream, thats about all i would do with them never bought them and thanks never will, hahaha but peach yougurt is good, so can yogurt icecream, have fun D. s
Try frozen mango chunks next time I've never been disapointed with them yet. I might add them to smoothies, or w/ other frozen friut blend it in the food processor and add some yogurt blend again and you have a healthy ice cream.

I use frozen fruit (peaches, strawberries or mangoes) in shakes for my son. I add the frozen fruit, vanilla yogurt, a little milk & a banana in a blender. Max loves them and it makes a great snack.
Cook the peaches tonight for a side dish for supper. Elegant but easy side to pork chops perhaps!
Add some of your favorite bbq sauce and simmer. Check tartness and sweeten w/brown sugar (or honey) if your bbq sauce does not fix it.
(Works well on outdoor grill too w/fresh tart peaches or ones that aren't ripe yet.)
Get some other fruits and veggies and juice it all. Then it's all healthy.
Any dessert, because you will have to add sugar. Just look on line at reciep.com. You could also do smoothies for the kids in the morning. Add them to top off yogurt. You could also grill them with just a tad of sugar on top. You would have to line the grill with foil and spray it first so they don't stick though. Good luck and hopefully enjoy!
You could put them in some yogurt for a parfait, cooking them would be a good way to bring the flavor out, you could even add whatever other bit of fruit that you have and bake it all in a pie. If the flavor is bland, then adding some other fruits would liven it up.
You could make some jello and add them to the jello, really any flavor of jello would do.
Add some sugar to them and hope they juice up some.
We use frozen fruit a lot in smoothies. Try blending the peaches in a blender with yogurt (or ice cream!) and other frozen or fresh fruits. At least they won't go to waste!
you could mix them in with some canned peaches, or soak them in peach nectar (they sell it in cans usually in the juice or organic sections in the store)
otherwise, blend them up with some bananas and yogurt or ice cream for a smoothie!
My husband loves to use frozen peaches in smoothies!
Peach cobbler would be a good way to do this. Lemon juice and sugar should give you more of that sweet/tart flavor that we're used to, but just thawing them and adding this might not do the trick. I'd stick with baked items like pies and such with the frozen ones. This summer buy extra of really good tasting ones, slice and freeze yourself and then you'll get more of that flavor in the winter time. Stores tend to use the reject fruits when they can and freeze, so keep that in mind. :)

You could try to put them into smoothies while they are still frozen.
You could also try to let them thaw, or at least semi-thawed and chop them up coarsly, add some sugar and them sit for a couple of hours. Then you could have peach shortcake, or even use them over pancakes, or ice cream.
Good luck, I have to say I am not a fan of commercially frozen peaches either!
HI L. - make them into a peach crisp. Put them in a greased dish, sprinkle brown or white sugar on with a little cinnamon, add a few tablespoons of apple or orange juice, then sprinkle on your favorite apple crisp topping recipe (if you need one get back to me). Bake 45 mins to an hour - 375. You could also add some frozen blueberries or slice apples. Good luck - Alison
