Does anyone knows a repellent for frogs? I have a very bad fobia that wont allow me to carry a normal life because I'm scare to leave the house or go to the backyard because of the frogs. I don't want to hurt them but I would like to keep them away from the house. Please help!

So What Happened?

I used the salted water too and it was working great until now. I don't know if it depends on the type of frong, but the salted water is no longer doing anything to them. I spray salted water on a regular basis and they are no longer afraid of it, but I continue to be afraid of them.

I was doing a search online for frog repellant because my daughter (20) also has this same fear. It sais that Home Depot sells a product called Frog Begone. Hmmm, might be worth a try. Also, it said to clean your patio with bleach that they hate it. Good luck!

I have a few chickens. I have noticed a major decrease in the number of frogs, giant grasshoppers, big cockroaches, etc. They really do keep the populations in check. :)

I heard that moth balls work to keep snakes out of yards....try it for frogs, too.

Frogs come up on my wooden deck somehow.......to get to the bugs attracted to my porch light, which happens to be right beside my back door. We are going to move the light away from the door.

Hope this helps.

I haven't tried it personally, but my friend sprayed salt water around the perimeter of her pool and yard and it worked wonders for her. Supposedly, the salt burns their feet and they move away from the area.

A frog has jumped on me and scared me to no end, but usually they won't bother you if you don't bother them. And, I rather like the idea of them eating mosquitoes for me. LOL

Hope this helps.

Try sprikling dry salt around the perimeter of your patio, careful not to sprinkle over your plants or lawn as the salt can do damage there.
I promise you, you will have relief from these frogs and if you have pets, the salt will not hurt them. I spinkle about once a month to prevent another problem with my dogs making contact with the frogs which can be so dangerous. Good luck!
