Do any of you know of a website to meet friends? And I actually mean friends. Not swinger websites, not looking for love... Just for one couple to meet another couple. Or a couple couples. Go out to dinner. Play cards... That kind of thing. Is it out there?

Try http://www.meetup.com. I found my current moms' group through it. It's a public website where anyone can form groups (no matter how big) and post schedules of what they're doing and where they're meeting. You just have to put in your location, I think, to start looking. It's easy to join a group, although some may ask you to pay dues (mine does). Our dues go toward paying for the use of the site, which really isn't that much. If you don't find what you're looking for, you can always start your own group! Good luck!

Maybe it's just me, but it would creep me out to meet strangers online. Why not try signing up for a couples class like ballroom dancing or a book club or something like that where you can meet people in person and see if your personalities work well together?
