Try MAC cosmetics, it's great! There are so many different shades and I am also very fair skinned, I use the NC 15. They'll work with you at the counter to find one that works. Good luck!
I am very fair skinned and am having the hardest time find a foundation that isn't too dark! I look like I am wearing a mask. I have tried Clinique and Estee Lauder and both are too dark. I've also tried powder foundation like Bare Escentuals but it seemed like they accentuated wrinkles so I would prefer a liquid foundation. I like a medium to full coverage because I have some redness/breakouts. Any suggestions?

I have very fair skin with freckles and I use mac makeup. you can get it at macys. It covers very well.
I use the Almay Smart Shade foundation/mousturizer. It is the ONLY liquid foundation that I have ever been truely happy with. It blends so well that you cannot tell it is on even with super fair skin.
Shiseido is the absolute best!! I am really fair skinned also and everything else i have tried has either been too pink or too yellow for my skin except for shiseido. MAC was ok but i noticed it would cake up on me after a few hours. i've never had that problem with shiseido. it also comes with SPF 15 in it and i think they even make some with up to SPF 55. Good luck!
I also have fair skin and I like Illuminare foundation. It is a liquid mineral foundation that has 3 formulas to choose from for what type of coverage you want. It also has SPF in it and you don't need a lot for coverage. Here is the website. http://www.illuminarecosmetics.com/
I use cover girl clean makeup, in ivory. It's always worked well, although sometimes I also have to use a concealer when I've got a bad pimple.
I use a tinted moisturizer from Aveda that I love. You can get thicker or thinner coverage depending on how you put it on and can get the shade to where you want. I have used it for years and love it! I also use an oil free cover up stick from Bobby Brown for blemishes. Bobby Brown makes a tinted moisturizer that you might like too because I think it had a little heavier coverage than the Aveda.
I love Laura Mercier. I use her tinted moisturizer, but her cover and foundations are wonderful as well. Her powders feel like silk on my skin! She is available at Sephoria. If there is not one near you they are online, you get free shipping if you spend over $50, and they throw in a bunch of samples so you can try new products as well. I was always a cover girl girl, thinking the extra $ was a waste, until I tried Laura Mercier, now I do not put anything else on my skin.
Jane Iredale is the best. It also does not hurt your complexion like all the other foundation I've tried because it's the "real mineral" deal not like all those other "mineral" out there. I have sensitive skin and have a fair complexion like you and it covers like a foundation and it also has a concealer built it, it's about $40 but well worth it because it does not damage your skin even from prolonged used. All the other ones does because of the chemicals. It's worth a try, you will love it. You can also buy a sample at ebay, type Jane Iredale and find a shade for a fair complexion. That way you'll spend very little and with a sample size you'll see how great it is, I've tried them all, only Jane Iredale works w/o skin damage from prolonged used! I am 46 and people still card me when I buy alcohol. Okay, that' s probably good genes but Jane Iredale helped my skin retain its appearance, good luck!
I have fair skin and have always had luck with MAC cosmetics. They have a range of coverages. I have redness and breakouts and LOVE their concealer. It has awesome coverage, but it's not cakey.
Arbonne has liquid foundation with spf for fair skin. We also have products especially for redness/breakouts to clear it up and also to help calm the redness. Private message me for my web site and email address. There is no mineral oil and only natural herbs and botanicals in all of the products which will help prevent those breakouts too. With no added fillers the products last much longer than other products.
Mary Kay has tons of foundations for fair-skinned women (I am one of them too)! I suggest asking around to see if anyone knows a consultant or go on-line and look for one. They definitely do work best though when you have a moisturizer underneath. Good luck!
I ONLY wear mineral makeup. I use BE and Mary Kay and BOTH you do need to wear a good moisterizer underneath.
I've tried every kind of foundation out there (including all the ones below) and keep coming back to Maybelline. I've extremely fair also and tend to have large pores in my T zone yet dry skin elsewhere, so I have a problem with founations caking up, getting flaky, or drying out my skin. I currently own and use both the the Age Rewind and the Super Stay. Age Rewind gives a little more coverage (also has SPF 18), but the Super Stay is great for those 18 hour work days. Super Stay also feels lighter despite great coverage if you are going outside for the day. Because of my skin tone, i have to use a combo of #2 & #4, which is easy enough especially when it only costs $7 a bottle. I can't use #3 because it is too pink for me. Don't be afraid to mix to get the shade you need. Many make up artists to this.
I love Neutrogena Healthy Skin!
1st off my husband calls me whitey because of how fair skinned I am - when I go outside for too long I burn I don't tan. I am going to second the Cover Girl products, I use natural ivory and I use the clean sensitive (because I also have sensitive skin a double whammy). The only products that I can seem to use without breaking out is Cover Girl and Maybeline.
Mac has a wonderful range on cream and liquid foundations in every shade from dead white to blue black.
I would contact a local Mary Kay consultant. I am a consultant and MK has a number of foundation options. I have found only a few women for whom I could not find a perfect match - and we blend two foundations for them. But the best thing is that you can try it before you buy it and it is backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
I love Mary Kay foundations. I'm extremely fair skinned and have been able to find a foundation match that doesn't make my face a separate color. I'd find a local consultant. She'll be able to meet with you to match your skin to the right color. Then you're not stuck with a color you don't like.
