Flower Mound/Lewisville Need Preschool for 3Yo and 4.5Yo

I am looking for a part-time preschool(3 days per week, 5 hours each day or close to that) program for my 3yo and my 4.5yo in the Flower Mound, Lewisville, Highland Village area. Church programs seem to be in my budget, so that's where I'm interested. Do you know of any openings? Their current preschool just closed their doors unexpectedly. :( Program must be structured and educational.

I've been looking at day cares myself for my 2 1/2 yr old. So far I like Primrose of Highland Village (there is one in Flower Mound) and Becky Country Kiddie Barn off FM 1830 in Argyle ###-###-####). The kiddie barn is great for budgets and does full-time, part-time, and drop-ins. I took my son there yesterday as a trail and he seemed to really like it. I'm going to use it (I think) once a week as a warmer uper for him untill I find work. Once I know how our schedule and budget works then I will probably move him to Primrose of HV.

My sister takes her 3 1/2 year old son to Legacy Learning Center in Flower Mound on Morriss Rd off Main. She "loves it". Its too far for us and I havent looked at it.

Hope this helps,
SAHM TLee

I would try Montessori Episcopal School in Lewisville. There is not another school like it. Stacy is the Director and all three of my boys have attended there. It is a true school-no daycare atmosphere at all. The kids all love it!

Faith Lutheran Day School in Flower Mound (Morriss Rd & Valley Ridge/Waketon) has an outstanding program that my children were in until I went back to work full time. They do have part-time programs that run 9:30-1:30. I am not sure if they have any openings. I have hesitation in recommending them. Contact Ann (the director) at ###-###-####.

My children are currently at Cornerstone Learning Center in Flower Mound (FM 2499 & FM 3040 behind the shopping centers on Lakeshore). They are a Christian based 18 months-1st grade school. They use the ABEKA curriculum. My daughter attends as a drop in since she is older, but my son will still attend one more year there before public school. He is happy there. You can contact them at ###-###-####.

My son attends Kids Kingdom at Northcrest Community Church in Flower Mound. I don't know that they have a part-time program, but the prices may be well what you're looking for. The director's name is Rebecca Clark, and their phone number is ###-###-####. The web address is www.northcrest.org. They are currenlty working on the website, but you'll find a link to Kids Kingdom in the upper right portion of your screen.

If you are really looking for good structure and education I would suggest Montessori Episcopal School in Lewisville. I looked at several of the other suggested schools in my search, but as an educator myself; I found this school to have the best staff and philosophies in the area. The Montessori classrooms there are specifically designed around the learning minds of young children. Most of the staff and teachers have been there for several years and have a great Christian outlook on education for young children. I can't say enough about the staff, they make you and your children feel like part of a family. I guess the best thing I can say is that I trust them with my 3 year old son and I am proud to be part of their family. I would recommend them to anyone who really wanted the best care and well rounded education for their children. You can call the school at ###-###-#### their summer hours are 8am-12pm. I hope you look into this great school.

As a side note I would not recommend Flower Mound Montessori School. While the facilities look impressive the care and education is more like a daycare than a school. The staff is in a constant turn over; my son had so many different teachers I could hardly keep up with their names. The afternoon care is mostly young high school age girls. The communication from the staff about accidents and issues is horrible.
