Flavored Water Ideas?

I saw a blog about making your own 'flavored water' just by adding fruits to it... I thought this might be a good idea, and I will be going grocery shopping on Friday...

So, what fruits/fruit combinations do you think would work well? :) Anything I should do TO the fruit?

What can I do next?

I've just been slicing up some lemons and putting them in a pitcher with water. Yum!

I've also heard of doing cucumbers.

I was at a Teacher retirement party and they had Strawberry, then they had one with Texas Peaches and they had Cucumber.

We tried all 3 and loved all of them.. Of course lemon is always good.

I love squeezing a lemon wedge in my water, and tossing the wedge in. Lemon brings out the flavor of foods, I guess it refreshes the palate.

I haven't tried it but have seen berries in water used, too...sounds good.

I think people usually use lemon.
You could also use apple - it's my personal favourite.
Some other possible fruits include: melon, pineapple, peaches

Just slice it into a thin wedge and pop it into the water. You don't need to squeeze it unless you're looking for some stronger flavor. You should probably put it in the fridge and wait for some time so that the flavour will come out.

I was at a baby shower on Saturday, and they had cucumber/lime water!

As far as I know, all they did was add cucumber slices and lime slices to the water... very refreshing!

We've been doing that since forever. And my Mom used to do that when I was a kid. And my Grandma.... used to put sugar cane sticks and pineapple chunks in water.
Just try anything you want.
Then you will find which you do like.
Just cut up some fruit or squeeze whatever fruit you want, into the water.
Stick it in a pitcher of water.
Chill
Drink

I tend to add fresh and frozen fruit of various varieties to my water. A few of my personal favorites are strawberries and grapes. Any type of melon also adds a nice touch and you can never go wrong with adding in mint as well, in my opinion. :)

lemons and limes are wonderful. yes they add flavor (not necessary, we should all be drinking water regardless) but also it alkalines your body. it's really beneficial, google it! :) good luck!
