I've been seeing Dr. Samantha Weber at MedProvider on Swiss Ave (3434 Swiss Ave) in Dallas. Couple of blocks from Baylor in Dallas. She's been my internist for many years now and is very thorough and takes time to listen to me. Good luck and I hope you find someone that you like.

I agree, call and find out why. It could be a computer generated letter that is sent out automatically when someone misses an appointment. There is generally room for negotiation.
If she does not take patients over 65 that should have been stated up front.
If that's the case, I'd copy it all, send it t my state rep and senator and say
"SEE WHY WE NEED A HEALTH CARE PLAN?"

That's interesting. There are dozens of reasons that a doctor terminates the relationship with a patient. My advice to you is to not dwell on this and to move on to a different doctor.

I love my internist! Her name is Donna Casey. She is affiliated with Presbyterian (Texas Health Resources)and is the best doctor I have ever had. She is very comprehensive, explains everything and takes the time to answer each and every one of my questions without rushing me or making me feel like my questions and/or concerns are stupid. Her phone number is ###-###-####. Her office is located at 8210 Walnut Hill near the hospital. She offices in Professional Building I, Suite 218. I recommend her to everyone I know and many of my friends have switched their care to her practice. Good luck! Message me if you have any other questions.

Why don't you call her office and find out why they are cancelling you from her patients list?

Since you are feeling bad about being dropped as a patient I suggest that rather than speculate that you call the doctor's office and ask? Some doctors take missed appointments very seriously, especially if they have a busy practice and you didn't notify them in advance. This happened to my daughter some years back. If you suspect it is because you are turning 65 you could call and simply ask if this doctor accepts Medicare patients. If the response is "no" you have your answer.

My male internist is absolutely the best. Wish you luck on finding a new doc who meets your needs.

I really hate to say this but it sounds like your age is a factor and that medicare is an option. Many Physicians will not treat Medicare patents due to the fact that they are not reimbursed at a decent rate. This happened to my mother a few years ago even though she is still being covered by a private health care insurance. I did find an internist that will work with patents and not fire them because of age.Francis G. Hill, M.D., Ph.D. ###-###-####

I find this very disturbing! I recently started seeing Dr. McKinney based on a recommendation from a very good friend. I found my former internist to be uninterested and generally cold. I was pleased but, I too, will be going through a change in insurer. My husband is now self employed. If you do find out why you were dropped, can you pass along the info? She should know that dropping patients could severly impact her practice.

Try Jill Waggoner-J. ###-###-####. She saved the life of a friend of mine when other doctors were only treating symptoms.

There is a great practice in the North Dallas area that I go to. They are two female internists, and have been on the "best doctors" lists multiple times. There names are Dr. Stephanie McCann and Dr. Lillian White. I see Dr. White. She is very soft spoken and knowledgeable. Hope this helps.
