Hi all, I need a simple but yummy veggie side for Thanksgiving...preferably one that doesn't need to be baked as I only have one oven and it'll be used up by the turkey and biscuits...thanks!

I have a great asparagus salad recipe that can be made hours ahead, PM me if you want it. It is one of those dishes that always gets cleaned out first at the gatherings I bring it to.

Steamed green beans smothered in rendered bacon and the bacon grease and salt! So very bad for you but so very yummy!

Sautee brussel sprouts in butter, add Craisins and a good splash of maple syrup, then salt and pepper to taste. Super yummy and very Thanksgivingy.
You can also do pre-bake broccoli and cauliflower in a cheddar cheese sauce with a bit of white pepper and then just heat it up in the microwave before serving. I make that for my anti-veggie in-laws and it goes quick. Cheese sauce makes everything delicious.
Good luck!

You can just buy a few bags of frozen veggies and steam them. I purchased a stainless steel colander at Dollar Tree several years ago and steam veggies in it. I like broccoli and corn, corn kinda fitting the original Thanksgiving menu. I just season with butter, salt and pepper. I also have squash or yams too, but not everyone likes squash or yams but all my kids and grandkids love broccoli and corn. The cool thing is squash or yams can be made on Tuesday or Wednesday and re-heated in the micro-wave.
